Napaljeno gledajući jedan drugog kako drkamo kite on umoči svoju u čapu loze i ponudi mi. Nastavak znate.

FRISK-1996 Dir. Todd Verow (USA) by psRanger

frisk13When Frisk first screened as the closing night film at the 19th San Francisco International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival in 1996, Todd Verow’s first feature film was greeted with a furious reaction. According to Barry Walters of the San Francisco Examiner, “At least half of Castro Theater’s 1,500 sold-out seats were abandoned as filmgoers left seething with anger, some even screaming at the screen.” On the audio commentary for the new DVD, Verow explains that after first reading Dennis Cooper’s notorious novel of the same name, he threw it across the room, similarly infuriated. But the sexually graphic bloodlust depicted in the book lingered long enough in Verow’s head to convince him to adapt it to film.
The hostile response recalled that for William Friedkin’s Cruising (1980), in which gay s/m practices were depicted as perverse, pathological, and criminal. As the documentary adaptation of The Celluloid Closet (1995) shows, by the time of Cruising‘s release queer audiences were tired of pervasive stereotypes of queers as killers and hairdressers. Hollywood movies repeatedly reinforced heterosexuality at the expense of gay and lesbian characters, whose individual psychoses were related their “pathological” sexuality.
frisk8But time and DVD releases tend to heal wounds. Cruising is now a curious piece of queer camp, and Frisk hardly warrants the spanking it got in 1996. To put it into context, Frisk came out during the wave of ‘90s new queer cinema. According to B. Ruby Rich, these “were doing something new, renegotiating subjectivities, annexing whole genres, revising histories in their image.” Like Poison (1991), Swoon (1992), and The Living End (1992), Frisk does not pander to queer viewers’ demands for sexually and politically “appropriate” role models. Instead, it challenges stereotypes that conflate queerness with disorder and death.
Following a group of disaffected queer men involved, to various degrees, in s/m sexuality, the film is set mostly in San Francisco. Frisk unravels in flashbacks from the perspective of Dennis (Michael Gunther), establishing right away that he hungrily consumed a steady diet of gay porn as a teenager. The most memorable imagery he saw was “snuff” photographs, featuring what appeared to be a young dead man, wrapped in plastic.
frisk4Much later, Dennis finds a kindred s/m spirit in Julian (Jaie Laplante), who, in turn, meets Henry (Craig Chester) in the bathroom at a fetish party. Henry has just engaged with some rough trade, and his fingers and chest are bleeding from being rubbed with broken glass. Julian takes down Henry’s phone number and agrees to meet later for sex. When Julian and Dennis call on Henry for a threesome, Dennis realizes Henry is the same person who played dead in the porn shots he obsessed over in his youth.
As Julian is tiring of Dennis’ deepening sexual obsessions, he follows a new lover to Paris, leaving Dennis unfettered by a conventional boyfriend. In an attempt to satisfy his fantasies, Dennis rents German gay-for-pay porn star and hustler Uhrs (Michael Stock), then begins writing sexually charged letters to him. The only other person to whom Dennis writes is Julian, though Julian’s younger brother Kevin (Raoul O’Connell) spends more time poring over the descriptions of sexual violence than Julian does.
frisk2For a time, Dennis’ addiction to describing such acts in letters appears to prevent him from fulfilling his desire to kill someone: he spends more time detailing the poetics of s/m than he does actually performing such acts. That is, until he teams up with serial killer couple Ferguson (Parker Posey) and Pete (James Lyons). Dennis’ confidence is spurred on in their presence. The threesome picks up a junkie hustler (Alexis Arquette), with whom they all fool around. Dennis wants to fuck him without a condom, and the hustler is too preoccupied with getting high to “give a shit.” In an attempt to arouse Dennis further, the hustler screams, “You’re fucking my dead body!”
It’s not hard to imagine why Frisk might have upset queer audiences. The scene where Dennis fucks the hustler without a rubber, then helps to slash him to red ribbons can be heavy going. But is the knee-jerk reaction we might have to such images the result of political correctness being so inextricably linked to AIDS, as if the depiction of unsafe sex be blamed for furthering the spread of AIDS?
Films about killers are supposed to be disturbing. Is it less disturbing if the killer in question is heterosexual? As soon as he’s gay, alarm bells go off the world over, because the image appears to “equate” homosexuality with criminality and blood. Frisk demonstrates that blood and violence in the age of AIDS represent something more specific than some abstract “evil,” but instead, amoral horrors, like infection and disease, along with perversion and madness.
downloadDennis narrates, “The detours around AIDS weren’t set up yet. A lot of guys my age were testing positive: sick, dead.” Frisk reveals that the cinematic imagery around AIDS also hadn’t yet been fully set up. And for that reason, the film invokes the crisis without ever really being a movie about AIDS. Unlike Christopher Ashley’s film Jeffrey (1995), Frisk never grants us easy answers as to how sexual practices—especially those fetishizing death—might be modified to eliminate risk. We never even know if any of the characters in Frisk are HIV positive.
The hostility directed at Frisk suggests that gay audiences, at least in 1996, expected gay filmmakers to make “safe” gay films. If this were true, depictions of s/m would become off-limits, because the performance of risk is central to such practices. By invoking the specter of AIDS in relation to s/m, Frisk might still be an uncomfortable experience for some viewers. But it shouldn’t be dismissed simply because of audience expectations, as these have surely changed since 1996. In retrospect, it is easier to acknowledge that the terms are more complicated than “negative” and “positive” portrayals, and that cinematic merit cannot be judged through the blind spots of political correctness.

Size plays a major role in “20 Centimeters "a brash, vivacious concoction of dark comedy, light drama and musical performance written and directed by Ramón Salazar. For starters, the title refers to the length of its main character’s penis, nearly eight inches. Marieta, né Adolfo, a pre-op transsexual narcoleptic (convincingly played by Mónica Cervera), wants those inches to vanish, and nothing can come between her and the surgery that will make it happen, not even a hunky fruit-stocker who likes her as is.

18885892.jpg-r_640_600-b_1_D6D6D6-f_jpg-q_x-20070907_081119During spells of sudden sleep, which seem to come at the most ill-timed moments, Marieta dreams that she is the star of huge, spicy (and frustratingly hit-or-miss) song-and-dance numbers in a wide variety of musical styles, most prominently Spanish and American pop songs. (The bit inspired by Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video is particularly amusing.)
But because so much screen time is spent in fantasyland, the film’s reality-based story lines, which focus on the sometimes bleak, even tragic, elements of Marieta’s everyday life — her conflicted sexuality, prostitution work and complex relationships with her roommate (a dwarf) and a neighbor’s young son — end up serving mainly as springboards for the high-energy set pieces.

Ja sam to doživio dva puta.

4368-lawoeuvre2Almodóvar solidified his creative independence when he started the production company El Deseo, together with his brother Agustín, who has also had several cameo roles in his films. From 1986 on, Pedro Almodóvar has produced his own films.
The first movie that came out from El Deseo was the aptly named Law of Desire (La Ley del Deseo). The film has an operatically tragic plot line and is one of Almodóvar’s richest and most disturbing movies. The narrative follows three main characters: a gay film director who embarks on a new project; his sister, an actress who used to be his brother (played by Carmen Maura), and a repressed murderously obsessive stalker (played by Antonio Banderas).
MyPhoto-080517-23The film presents a gay love triangle and drew away from most representations of homosexuals in films. These characters are neither coming out nor confront sexual guilt or homophobia; they are already liberated, like the homosexuals in Fassbinder’s films. Almodóvar said about Law of Desire : ” It’s the key film in my life and career. It deals with my vision of desire, something that’s both very hard and very human. By this I mean the absolute necessity of being desired and the fact that in the interplay of desires it’s rare that two desires meet and correspond”

4367-lawoeuvre1 (1)
Almodóvar’s films rely heavily on the capacity of his actors to pull through difficult roles into a complex narrative. In Law of Desire Carmen Maura plays the role of Tina, a woman who used to be a man. Almodóvar explains: “Carmen is required to imitate a woman, to savour the imitation, to be conscious of the kitsch part that there is in the imitation, completely renouncing parody, but not humour”.
Elements from Law of Desire grew into the basis for two later films: Carmen Maura appears in a stage production of Cocteau’s The Human Voice, which inspired Almodóvar’s next film, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown; and Tina’s confrontation scene with an abusive priest formed a partial genesis for Bad Education.

Just a Question of Love (2000)

Juste une question d'amour (2000) aka Just a Question of Love

Director: Christian Faure

Country: France, Belgium
Year: 2000
Genre: Drama

Brzopleti, naivni, slušaju svoje srce pa srljaju u pustolovinu zvanu coming-out! Nema bezbolnog outovanja!

"Juste une question d'amour" (Just a Question of Love), directed and cowritten by Christian Fauré (Un amour ŕ taire) aired on French television in 2000. It is a coming-out (as gay) story that focuses as much on the parents as on the young men who are in love with each other.

000qbygyParents sometimes surprise their gay and lesbian offspring by accepting them. But sometimes the children are right to fear the reactions of their parents. Laurent (Cyrille Thouvenin, "La confusion des genres") loves his parents(Daničlle Denie) and Pierre (Idwig Stéphane), who run a mom-and-pop pharmacy in Paris and is very afraid that they will reject him if they find that he is gay. This is unlikely to happen while he is having sex with men, but not in love with anyone. Moreover, he has the cover (a "beard") of a female room-mate (it seems that rather a lot of young gay men in recent French movies are living with straight women, but I vaguely remember that so was I between my long-term lovers). Laurent's parents dote on Carole (Caroline Veyt). Visions of grandchildren dance in their heads, though Carole is growing weary of having the name (Laurent's partner) without having the game.

000q9dcrLaurent does not have to guess about what will happen, because it pretty much already has happened—to a cousin with whom he was very close. Marc's parents (Laurent's mother's sister and her husband) cut off all communication with Marc, when they learned he was gay. Laurent's parents refused to take Marc in, and when Marc's parents heard that Marc was dying, they proclaimed that AIDS was a just punishment for him (though Marc was dying of acute hepatitis picked up in Vietnam rather than AIDS).

The status quo of Laurent and Carole pretending to be a couple has been destabilized by Laurent's failures (in agricultural school) since Marc's terminal illness. Laurent is dispatched to a field station near Lille in which Cédric (Stéphan Guérin-Tillié) is experimenting on developing vegetables resistant to (((ever-increasing) pollution. Cédric is an intense, bearded hunk. He and Laurent quickly fall into each other's arms.

Just A Question Of Love[05]Cédric took over the family business (a nursery along with the field station) when his father died, which Laurent's father finds exemplary (he is displeased that Laurent has not studied to become a pharmacist) and Laurent's mother likes the Cédric lives with his mother (Emma, played by Eva Darla (Une histoire simple). Emma realized she could accept that Cédric was gay or lose him—immediately after having lost her husband.

Cédric does not want to live the lie of just being Laurent's boss and participate in the Laurent/Jeanne charade. He pushes Laurent, though Emma tells him he should not expect Laurent to move faster than Cédric himself had. She is very maternal to Laurent. Laurent wishes that his mother was like Emma,,, but knows she is not.

JusteuneQuestiondAmourThen the melodrama kicks in and most everyone is furious with everyone else (except Cédric and Carole, both of whom push Laurent to come out, and Marc's lover, who is sympathetic to everyone). I do not want to spoil what surprised me in detonating the explosions—which is to say that the trajectory is at least somewhat unpredictable even for someone who has heard and seen many coming-out stories. (I might note that neither Cédric nor Laurent has any connection to politicized gay identity: the message they articulate is "I love him and he loves me and we are going to be together.")

The cast is uniformly excellent, with Eva Darla particularly standing out. The cinematography, music, and editing are unobtrusively effective. Thouvenin and Guerin-Tillie have a palpable chemistry. They can be playful with each other, but both are passionate, not only in love, but in quarrels. (Both can also sulk, too.)

Unlike the other French coming-of-age movies I've seen in the last few years, there is no frontal male nudity (drat!), no bared female breasts, and no simulated coitus (there's kissing and post-coital bed scenes).

There are trailers for eight other French movies, but no bonus features about this one. The (widescreen) visual and audio transfers are excellent, the subtitles legible and devoid of peculiar grammmatical constructions.

Although not breaking new cinematic ground, I can't think of any way the story of these characters, none of whom is one-dimensional, could have been shown. What it is showing parents also seems very valuable, t, though those who most would most gain from watching it are the least likely to undertake a subtitled French tv movie with two young men in love with each other, neither of whom wants to lose his parents.

Opis:

drei16Tom Tykwer has come of age as a director with this film, and has dropped his sparkling visual flair in favor of straightforward yet sophisticated storytelling. His camera and editing are spot-on yet smart, as he carefully weaves a layered tale of two lost adults who rediscover and remake themselves through their relationship with another man.
His nuanced trio of characters deliberately play against gender types: Simon, the husband, is passive, quiet, artistic, and metaphorically female; Hanna, the wife, is assertive, successful, opinionated, and symbolically male; Adam, their paramour, a fertilization specialist who "brings life" to their dull routine, has both male and female sides.
drei20The way their lives intertwine is both surprising and entertaining, and Tykwer not only explores their raw cores of emotional and physical need, but deftly and expertly exposes the humor in Hanna and Simon's awkward fumbling for new purpose.
What Woody Allen does for New York, Tykwer does for Berlin, showcasing the city as a vibrant center of art, culture, and yes, sexuality, filled with creative inhabitants who have gone there to remake themselves.
His intermittent visual collages of the character's lives inject new vitality to the stale montages we've all seen a million times; it's not that the screen has never been subdivided this way before, but that Tykwer's method of visual construction is meticulous and succinct -- like every frame of this film.
The result is an engaging, truthful, and non-traditional romance that leaves you feeling hopeful that love can tear down our seemingly permanent walls; yet another reason to set it in Berlin!
Highly recommended.

cibrail00Cibrâil, a young policeman, lives happily with his art-dealer girlfriend in Berlin. Everything seems fine, money is not a problem, and Cibrâil is well integrated into German society, despite his Turkish origins. What is the reason for his sleepless nights? A gay cousin of his girlfriend who lives permanently in Rome, comes to visit them but that does not seem to disturb their relationship, or at least on the surface. The guest is friendly, free and enjoys being on his own. He wanders around in town and takes pictures. He has also some love affairs. Cibrâil gets close to him, almost unwittingly: they jog, go for a stroll and confide their secrets to each other. But sometimes attraction can be fatal. In Berlin, a cold city where disturbing episodes of homophobia take place, a story about undisclosed passions told in a frigid, unemotional and minimalist style. –Torino GLBT Film Festival

Svi troje pričamo o svemu i svačemu.

Description:

Two gay men hook up online. The younger one (David Ryan Kinsman) goes to visit the older one (Taris Tyler). Their attempt at sex falls flat and they start to talk. During the talk there's a lot revealed about their characters, their feelings about being gay and sex in general.

disarm1This isn't a pleasant short(there's a LOT of swearing) and the characters are unlikable but the talk itself is fascinating. The Australian accents aren't easy to understand but everything comes through eventually. This basically turns into a character study with two very interesting people. They show and talk about gay relationships unlike any other movie I've ever seen. It pulls no punches and hits some interesting truths and subjects head on. My only complaint--Kinsman is unattractive and not a good actor but Tyler is VERY good-looking and one hell of an actor. He makes up for Kinsmans' deficiencies. Powerful and worth catching.

Wrecked (I) (2009)

ccbWrecked (I) (2009)

Directors: Bernard Shumanski, Harry Shumanski
Writers: Harry Shumanski, Bernard Shumanski
Genre: Drama
Country: USA
Language: English Year: 2009 Duration: 73 min

Stars: Forth Richards, Benji Crisnis and Theo Montgomery

WreckedRyan (Forth Richards, I think, since much of the cast may be working under pseudonym) is a young wannabe actor. He has landed his first part in a play, but his happiness is short-lived as former boyfriend Daniel (Benji Crisnis, I think) shows up. Daniel is a drug addict, but Ryan takes him in (again) anyway, hoping to change him since he won't change himself. Daniel immediately goes back to his old habits, including introducing Taylor (no idea who played him) into the relationship. Ryan's life begins to spiral downward, and the film ends with a scene you could predict before you even popped the disc in the DVD player.
The three leads get nude, often. The Shumanski brothers wallow in Ryan's filthy world; you can almost smell the stale cigarette butts and warm wine in his squalid little house. However, the Shumanskis let their willing cast down. Some of the scenes are obviously improvised, and watching the young cast try to smoke and talk like adults before shedding their underwear is embarrassing to sit through. I began to mistake Ryan's constant naivete for mild mental retardation as Daniel goes through his drug addict and casual sex routine and elicits only tsk-ing and rolled eyes. The direction is sloppy (you can spot a cameraman in a mirror in one scene, and dates on cell phones never jibe), the editing is fair, and the music makes no impression whatsoever. The Shumanskis pad the film with unnecessary shots of the dudes waking up, getting their bearings, and dressing.

wrecked-fi

Richards plays Ryan like a drag queen channeling Bette Davis. He smokes too much, and swirls his hands, but shows no real emotion beyond mild contempt. I didn't care about him at all. Ryan demands Daniel get a job, yet we never see what Ryan does for a living. Crisnis is bland, never offering any reason why Ryan would fall for Daniel over and over again, despite getting hurt every time.
The only scenes that almost work are Ryan's play rehearsals. The play, as presented to the viewer, is a disaster. The director obviously wants to take Ryan to bed, his chain smoking assistant hates the world, and one of his co-stars is one of those Brando wannabes who must stretch and do annoying preparation for this piece of garbage he is "starring" in. Trust me, I have a theater background, and a lot of this is dead-on. Plus, these scenes provide a break from all the cocaine snorting and gay sex.
"Wrecked" joins the sad list of sexually explicit films that fail because of the script and direction, and not the sex. Move over, "9 Songs," "Shortbus," and almost everything Larry Clark has ever done, "Wrecked" and its truth-in-advertising title is here.

  • Plot:An edgy drama about a gay teen's tumultuous decent into drugs and anonymous sex, Wrecked smashes cinematic taboos while it spins its cautionary tale. Ryan is an earnest 18-year-old trying to develop a career as an actor and getting his life on the right track. This course is quickly threatened with the sudden arrival of his sort-of ex, Daniel, who arrives at Ryan's door wanting a place to stay and offering the promise of a normal, loving relationship. But Daniel's drug addiction and attitude towards casual sex derail any hope for normalcy and soon ensnares Ryan in his own downward spiral. Handheld cameras, a hot young cast and a boldly upfront approach to sex combine to make Wrecked a unique film experience. Written by TLA Releasing

Eating Out: All You Can Eat (2009)

eout3Eating Out: All You Can Eat (2009)

Director: Glenn Gaylord
Scenario: Phillip J. Bartell, Q. Allan Brocka
Genre: Comedy
Country: USA
Year: 2009
Duration: 80 min
Rating: 5.1/10

Actors: Rebekah Kochan, Daniel Skelton, Chris Salvatore, Michael E.R. Walker, Julia Cho, Mink Stole, Leslie Jordan, John Stallings, Maximiliano Torandell, Sumalee Montano, Cristina Balmores, Rick D'Agostino, Tabitha Taylor, Greg McKeon, Ryan Adames

eo3_04 Description:
Serijal romantičnih komedija Eatin Out se nastavlja.

2 pedera+1 str8 ( fag stag ) + 1 ( ili 2) fag hag = Eating Out.

Tiffani and her friend Casey try to lure the gorgeous Zack with a phony online profile using the image of Tiffani’s buff ex, Ryan… which works fine until the real Ryan shows up. Only through some fancy footwork, advice from his Aunt Helen and mentor Harry, and a daring sexual escapade can Casey figure out how to set things right and perhaps even find the love he’s been seeking.

eo3_08 Absolutely essential, Eating Out: All You Can Eat is the story of Casey, a naive new arrival in West Hollywood, and his misadventures trying to score a date with the super-hot Zack. Filled with disgustingly hysterical jokes, EA3 is a rare breed, it works as both a romance and a sex comedy.
A raunchy sex comedy or a gay romance, however you see this third entry in the highly successful series, it’s a wonderful film, filled with laughs, hot guys and a beautiful love story. Beside the requisite dirty jokes, director Glenn Gaylord and writer Phillip J. Bartell developed this story as a love story, a gamble that paid off big-time. Sexy eo3_16 temptress/fag hag Tiffani (Rebekah Kochan reprising her role) and her boyishly cute friend Casey try to lure the buff and sweet Zack with a phony online profile using the image of Tiffani’s buff ex, Ryan. That works fine until the real Ryan shows up and chaos ensues. Only through some fancy footwork, advice from his Aunt Helen (Mink Stole) and mentor Harry (Leslie Jordan, “Sordid Lives”), and a particularly photogenic hook-up, can Casey figure out how to set things right and date Zack. Besides the gay icons in the film, Eating Out: All You Can Eat introduces six openly gay actors in lead roles including: Daniel Skelton, Chris Salvatore, Michael Walker, John C. Stallings (“The Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency”), Maximiliano Torandell, and Rick D’Agostino.
Taking inspiration from the classic screwball comedies of the thirties, the writers and directors have taken the decades-old formula of mistaken identities and turned it on its head and brought the concept into the twenty-first century. Judging by the ecstatic crowd reaction at the screening we were at, Eating Out: All You Can Eat is a major hit — and even better than the second edition.
