A kada tome dodamo da nakon što osjete dobru kitu zaborave na sve oko sebe i postaju pederi u smislu najgore karakterne osobine, onda se stereotipi pretvaraju u realnost.

Even with a nugget of a plot that runs also like a well-tuned mechanism of clichés, this short strikes home. It's summer, it's camping, it's adolescence playing "Truth or Dare?" As everybody remembers the perennial dare and kiss a same-sexed (uneasy) friend is acted-out. Some insistence on the kiss attracts the expected stupid comments of adolescence starting out. But with the intervention of the superintendent more than three and in less than six minutes admit their sexuality, as summer heads back home. This little short, intended as part of a collection against homophobia, addresses mostly adolescents, and with the axis put upon the mostly effeminate image one expects from gayness, to the detriment, actually, of "virile" boys at a loss to admit their feelings. Thankfully, in this short the boy that expresses his not-so-repressed feelings, does not pass through an ugly scene of the usual bullying. This role is quasi-reserved for a girl; but instead of exemplifying any sense of misogyny, Vincent, the director, shows with a keen sense the antagonism between adolescents in just three strokes, an antagonism more fully depicted to excellent results in his sulfurous pastoral "Give me your hand".

Ponekad se osjećam jako usamljeno iako je oko mene mnogo ljudi. Nekako prolaze oko mene, a nikako da se zadrže u mom životu i da bar na trenutak zavire u neki djelić onoga što osjećam i želim.
Jutros sam nakon novogodišnjih praznika sjeo sa prijateljem u kafanu i ispričao se sa njim bez imalo zadrške. To su trenuci kada sam srećan što imam nekoga ko me dobro poznaje. Nije gej, ali me poznaje bolje od većine njih sa kojima se kao nešto družim i postavljao mi je pitanja na koja većini ljudi ne bih nikada odgovorio.

Neki dan sam pričao sa nekim gejevcem preko sajta romeo. Jadao mi se kako ne može da nađe nekoga sa kim bi bio blizak. Rekoh mu da bi sa nekim bio blizak, mora za početak da bude iskren. Na to mi je odgovorio kako ne želi da bude iskren i da odmah na početku otvori sve karte o sebi.
Vjerovatno mu je lakše da neznancu otvori sopstveno dupe i upozna nečiju kitu nego da upozna onog ko nosi tu kitu koju sa takvim zadovoljstvom prima.
I tako zatvorene duše i otvorenog dupeta prolaze mu dani u samoći.
Solo nije film o geju koji lakše otvara dupe nego dušu, ali nam kroz jednu dirljivu priču prikazuje odnos između dva usamljena čovjeka.

Have you ever felt alone even though you are surrounded by people?
Solo, a movie directed and written by Ana Maria Saad and Geison Ferreira, talks about loneliness, which, contrary to what most people think has got nothing to do with being alone but rather with a feeling of emptiness and solitude, even when in other people´s company. That sensation can turn into something really bad if their reasons are not identified and eliminated.
Geison Ferreira, who came up with the idea of the movie, believed during his childhood and adolescence that to be someone it was necessary to be anyone but him. The low self-esteem – resulted from the maltreatment he suffered from people who were supposed to give him love and care – made him engaged in isolation behavior and he started to believe he was the worst person on Earth. Watching films gave him comfort, as he realized that “a film can be someone´s best friend, because it shows possibilities in life without being judgemental. No right or wrong”. He then became aware of what loneliness was and discovered the beauty of being unique, learning that moments of isolation are necessary for self knowledge and personal growth, and that doesn´t have to be sad and bad.

Alain Hain’s films are kind of fascinating.  Like Curious Thing, it’s real audio interviews with gay men, complimented and contrasted to visuals that tell a fictional story of love and relationships. This one concentrates on monogamy and the problems of cheating. Various people talk about being in relationships where they discovered the other person was playing away (or they had cheated themselves), looking at why people overlook it or are oblivious to it, and what the consequences can be.  The visuals tell a similar story, commenting on and challenging the audio with the story of a relationship being town to bits by infidelity. It’s a great idea, and while The In-Between doesn’t work quite as well as Curious Thing, it’s still very involving.

Ovaj kratki film nam pokazuje kako je policija snimala pedere i javnom WC-u. I danas se snimaju javni toaleti, kao zbog bezbjednosti, ali kome idu snimci to se nikad ne zna. Zato pazite kada ulazite u WC, posebno u Beogradu. Na Autobuskoj stanici, željezničkoj i mnogim drugim mjestima su postavljene kamere i ti na ulazima od WC-a tako da uredno snimaju kako pišate i šta radite za to vrijeme ugodnog mirisnog boravka na tom mjestu.

Nekako se osjećam umorno, a ništa teško ne radim. Svaki dan mi je isti i kao da sam zaglavljen u nekoj Zoni Sumraka. Jutarnja kafa, internet, drkanje, tuširanje, pranje zuba i odlazak u kafić u koji sam upisan kao inventar. Nakon toga posao, pa odlazak kući, ručak, opet internet, odlazak kod prijatelja, pa opet kući, internet , drkanje i spavanje. Uz manje izmjene u redoslijedu navedenog protiču mi već dvije godine. Vikendom sve to naruši poneki neznanac koji me prodrma u krevetu, tek toliko da me podsjeti da predstoji nova dosadna sedmica.
Dosadilo mi je i ćaskanje na romeu u kojem se stalno ponavljaju pitanja tipa: opis i šta voliš? Koliki ti je? Sad već i ne odgovaram na takve poruke. Ponekad nekome napišem volim da idem na ribanje, volim zimi da odem u planinu da pravim snješka bijelića i da se grudvamo.
Volim da zapečem krompir u rernu i da mažemo kajmak preko njega uz neku dobru staru muziku. Smješno zar ne? Mora da zvučim kao penzionisani gay kojemu su dosadile pederske priče.

Čovjek se može osjećati usamljeno čak i onda kada ga okružuje dosta ljudi. Lijepo je kada te pozove prijatelj na piće ili na večeru kod njega doma, ili kada te neko iz familije pozove na neko slavlje, kolege na druženje ili komšije na kafu. Život bi bio jadan bez tih mali stvari, ali kada se vratim doma opet se osjećam usamljeno. Naprosto volio bih da mi dođe neko da zajedno napravimo vrhunske špagete sa tunjevinom  i uz vino osjetim obostranu želju da nam se ti trenuci nikada ne završe. Da uživam kuckajući ovaj blog dok mi neko kuva kafu ili se naprosto muva tu po kući.
Za ovakva stanja postoje romantične komedije kao što je ova, čisto da vas podsjeti da niste jedini i da ćete več možda sutra upoznati nekog ko će se pohvaliti da sprema najbolje špagete u gradu i da želi da ih spremi samo za vas.

Ovaj film nam baš ne govori o špagetama ali kad se nađu dvije srodne duše onda je dovoljna i jedna gitara da vam razgali srce. Nije neko remek dijelo,ali će vam sasvim sigurno uljepšati neko dosadno poslijepodne uz kokice i kafu.U svakom slučaju ljepše nego isprazno dopisivanje o tome kolika vam je kita i šta volite?!
Film ima gomilu nedostataka i djeluje amaterski napravljeno, ali i pored toga ima zanimljivih momenata koji će raznježiti većinu usamljenih romantičnih gledalaca.

This one pleasantly surprised me. I am a sucker for the romance films especially when the characters are honest, capable of showing true tenderness, even though they are acting. And this film did not disappoint.  Along the lines and similar to the 'Eating Out' series of films, with the sweetness of 'Latter- Days', this film was fun and a pleasant treat.
I really liked how Blaine (Nicholas Downs) played his role. His acting was amazing and refreshing. Full of heart and soul I fell in love with him at the start of the film and he carried me through to the end.
And then there was Xander (David Loren) This is the first time I have seen him on camera and he captured my heart as well. Besides being incredibly cute with the sexiest accent, this kid can act! Wow, he really played his character with such honesty.
These two were truly exceptional and amazing actors. Not discounting the other characters. This film had just the right amount of sexy and sweet. Blaine's roommate is gorgeous!
If you are into romance with a comical edge, you must see this film!
And if you happen to be alone single dreamer, hoping, wishing for that first or next love, may this film help you see that true love is not about who you are, what you look like, but what's inside that counts.

Donja granica je suviše niska, a osim toga nije isto ako se seksualno istražuju dva tinejdžera od 17 godina ili kad neko ko ima 40 godina ima seks sa 17-godišnjim momkom. Ako ste stariji peder izbjegavajte momke mlađe od 25 godina, a ako vam je stalo do diskrecije mladje od 30 godina. Ne kaže se džabe mladost-ludost, i svasta možete očekivati od današnje neiživljene omladine koja jedva čeka da se pohvali kako su se dobro izjebali sa nekim.

Challenging, dark, complex and very cleverly put together, Man And Boy constantly challenges the audience and the assumptions that we and the characters make. A man befriending a boy has to be something dodgy, doesn’t it? Would you be justified taking the law into your own hands? Would you tell a big lie to cover up a smaller, more personal lie? With some great performances, including Eddie Marsan as the potential paedophile, Man And Boy has a real intensity and a surprisingly complex plot for such a short film, this is top-notch filmmaking. Based on a true story, it’s a film that never stops evolving from the beginning to the end and knows the world is a complex place where snap judgements rarely reveal the whole truth.

Verona is a modern adaptation of a famous play by Shakespeare. The handsome and hunky Shannon Kook-Chun who is best known for his outstanding work in Degrassi: The Next Generation is given outstanding material to be lead star of a major motion picture and he lives up to all the excitement about him. He is ready to become a top Hollywood star for sure. Shannon's performance made me think of the famous movie Shelter. His acting is exquisite and his romantic scenes are emotional and riveting. I would definitely view the short if it plays in a theater near you. If it is not in a theater near you, I would definitely go to your favorite one and demand that they book the short. Then, plan on dreaming about the full length motion picture soon to be released! TWO THUMBS UP!

Dosta nas voli što je muško i uživa u tome! Naravno ima i onih koji više vole da budu muško u ženskim krpicama, a ima i onih koji vole da budu žena u muškom tijelu! Rvanje koje je potrajalo 5-6 minuta i ja popustim. On mi ga sav sretan uvali i izjeba me baš muški! Nakon toga ja ustao da vidim šta ima za popiti, a on : zašto si ustao iz kreveta? Built on solid production values, this University of Texas, Dallas student production charms with the tender tale of a pair of gay lovers, only for one to be more at ease in expressing his sexuality in public, than the other. Not that this suits macho lover boy Trevor who views affectionate lip-service from his latino partner Alex, even when on an empty basketball court, as some form of social statement. Only could a gentle waltz under the tuition of Ms Hilda see Trevor finally lower his guard, one-on-one style?

Made in collaboration with The Dance Ensemble at the University of Texas, Arlington, here writer and director Luis Fernando Midence of Affinity and More Coffee fame delights with a short film that is gay to the core. For in a world in which many a man, sexuality and indeed ethnic origin aside, finds it difficult to openly express their emotions, this short resonates with the beauty of dance as a means of binding lovers together.

True the result is far from earth shattering. But then it was never intended to be, given the allure of this piece lies in the dance class itself, one in which looks of alarm are courtesy of the raised voices of warring parties, rather than a gay couple taking to the floor. That first time actors Timothy Paul Brown as Trevor and Braulio Cruz-Ortiz as Alex create a believable "working it out" relationship, makes for a sweet tale of Come Dancing, sexuality irrelevant style. It’s not Sex and the City for gay men. It’s not The L Word for dudes. It’s not Noah’s Arc for the web. It’s something … else. In Between Men, the original online-only series from creator Quincy Morris, centers around four gay fellas in the big city. It just debuted. And I’m loving it.

Is this anything we haven’t seen before? Nah. These things get pitched around town by combining the titles of known works: It’s Lipstick Jungle meets Dynasty, or some crap like that. And that’s generally because these skeins do end up pulling pieces from the past. The acting is a smidge flimsy, and the plotlines not entirely unique (gay pride weekend?! oh my). But there’s everything you need to make your A-gay skin tingle: sexy professionals, bisexuals, and nightlife living (including hooking up in the lav). And I swear that was the poorman’s Fabio walking through one scene.

In Between Men isn’t pretending to be anything more than a guilty pleasure, and that’s why I’m enjoying it. Yes, there are a lot of white guys, and of course it’s set in lower Manhattan, and there’s the requisite focus on drugs and quick sex. But there are little blips of high-mindedness here, like a discussion about the merits of gay pride parades. And these gents have their own bro code (“FIST FUCK!”). I’m staying tuned.

Već duže vrijeme sam tražio po internetu da pogledam ovaj film. Na kraju sam ga pronasao na sajtu sa kojeg se lako plaća sa nekom od internet kartica koju koristite samo za plaćanje preko interneta. ( nadam se da ne koristite kreditne kartice).
Triple Standard ( trostruki standard ) je priča koja je karakterističnija za neko urbano balkansko područje nego za zapadne zemlje".
Crim i D. su košarkaši u nekom lokalnom timu koji kao cimeri djele stan. Naizgled sasvim obični momci koji gledaju svoja posla. Kada je za vrijeme tuširanja nakon utakmice Crim planuo i oštro reagovao na gay zajebanciju jednog od igrača stvari se počinju mjenjati.

D. koji je posmatrao Crimovo antigay raspoloženje pod tušem odluči da raskine tajnu vezu sa njim.
Slijedi razgovor izmeđju njih dvojice u kojem Crim tvrdi da nije gay, da je ugledan član zajednice, dobar prijatelj, dobar otac? i dobar sportaš. D. koji je odbio da ima sex sa njim u nevjerici sluša njegove riječi.
Nemože da poveže ponašanje čovjeka sa kojim živi i sa kojim svako veče vodi ljubav sa ponašanjem u svlačionici i onim što sada sluša od njega.
Mnogi ljudi na balkanu su izgradili različita ponašanja i standarde u vezi sopstvene seksuanosti. Iako redovito jašu na kurcu kada se skinu sa njega ponašaju se kao da se ništa nije ni desilo.A ako se zaljube u muškarca to smije znati samo taj kojeg voli. Naravno da on nije gay, nije ni peder, ali samo za sebe u svojoj glavi.

Crim, D., Stanley and several of their friends, following an intense but friendly game of basketball are bantering back and forth in the locker room when a mischievous gesture by Stanley, meant to be good humored, is returned by a homophobic litany from Crim. Crim’s over the top reaction is carried into hatred when later in the shower Stanley pushes the envelope further.

As everyone’s post workout glow and exuberance drains from the room, Crim’s roommate D. in particular seems most affected by Crim’s attack. After locking eyes with D., an inconsolable Crim storms out leaving D. to deal with a reality he has not been willing to but must now face.

When D. arrives home for dinner that night we begin to piece the puzzle together as it is increasingly revealed that D. and Crim are and actually have been, lovers – for years.

The dialogue that ensues between D and Crim brings to light both the public and private disconnect that occurs in the world of closeted athletes who, due to fame, fortune and culture are forced to fight fierce, often times lonely battles to come to terms and live with who they really are.
