The lechery, loves and literature of Spanish scribe Jaime Gil de Biedma receive pleasingly offbeat treatment in “The Consul of Sodom,” a biopic that depends on a compelling performance by Jordi Molla. Following its protag from the ’60s until his death from AIDS in 1990, the pic is an intriguing ride through the Barcelona arts scene of 30 years ago, but its bed-to-book-to-boardroom dynamic palls, leaving it short on dramatic clout. Still, this gorgeous-looking, sexually explicit and rarely dull “Consul” has a cultish appeal that could stimulate fest interest. Initial B.O. for the Jan. 8 release was solid but unspectacular.

Steamy early scenes take place in 1959 Manila, where the impeccable, white-jacketed Jaime (Molla), presented as an incorrigible seducer, takes full advantage of the local boys. Back in Barcelona, his father, Don Luis (Juli Mira), is concerned about the impact of Jaime’s lifestyle on the reputation of the family’s tobacco empire, particularly since Franco’s police are on the trail of commie sympathizers. Much is made of the conflict between family duties and fleshly urges, conformity and transgression.
Jaime’s literary cronies are publisher Carlos Barral (Josep Linuesa) and the refreshingly down-to earth Juan Marse (Alex Brendemuhl). Ironically, Jaime is refused membership in the Communist Party because he’s openly gay; he falls in with Bel (newcomer Bimba Bose, sometimes out of her depth), who becomes his muse and lover.

The script does well to bring something unique to each of the multiple relationships it portrays. And the period is portrayed with loving attention to detail, if too often suffused with the warm nostalgia of melodrama. Though the decor is often sumptuous, the focus is always on character rather than setting.

Molla, who has a tendency to overact, plays to his strengths by showing Jaime as a man of devilish aspect who sees his life in theatrical terms. The result is his finest perf in years, growing stronger as the pic proceeds and his character ages. Though the poet is aloof, fastidious, sexually avaricious and often downright unpleasant, Molla never lets us lose sight of his insecurities.

Inevitably for an item about arty types, the dialogue is sometimes of the overwrought “you’re in love with pain” variety. Extracts from the poems are judiciously used to comment on the action, but more time is spent on Jaime’s sex life (with multiple full-frontals) than inside his head.

Pic’s approach has caused a stir in Spain, with the real-life Marse, now a revered novelist, expressing his strong indignation in the national press.

Kada sam se probudio pogledao sam u mob i vidio poruku: Hvala ti, nikada neću zaboraviti prošlu noć! Nakon nekoliko dana iz jednog kafića dok sam pio kafu ugledam ga sa djetetom. Unique and well-crafted

I must say that I have seen very few movies that have been paced this slowly, but in this case, it is a testament to the artistry of the director.
In a setting where the pace of life appears to be glacial and change can be a painstakingly slow process, the deliberately slow pacing of some of the scenes was just another way for this film to effectively evoke a mood. There were certain scenes where the only change for an entire minute would be a light going on, or off. Some scenes would linger with a camera a full 10 or 15 seconds after the action or dialogue had ended...just to capture a subtle mood change, or to amplify what was already there.
This is a fascinating piece of work about real people, not the porn star fantasies that populate many other glbt works. This is not to say that the 2 leads are not attractive, as another poster suggested. We all get attracted to different types and these 2 certainly found an attraction to each other.
While I thought that this movie was excellent, I would liked to have seen the romance develop in a more balanced, and less abrupt, fashion. Considering the overall way that Jose gets treated in this film, there could at least have been one truly tender moment to pave the way for how this movie eventually resolved itself.
If the movie has one flaw it was the way the 3 chapters are used to foreshadow what is to come. Once the 3rd chapter title came up there were no surprises and we knew exactly how it was going to end. While the ending made sense, and was satisfying, why the need to foreshadow it?
All in all, a very different type of glbt film that is well worth your time.

Neki dan me je jedan momak pitao po čemu vidiš da je neko peder? Ja mu odgovorim to se osjeti, ne možeš to po nečemu vidjet, a ako je očito onda znaj da to nije za tebe. Sa kim je sramota sjesti u kafanu, stim ne liježi u krevet! Momak mi reče da ne ide u kafanu!

Ovaj film nam pokazuje odrastanje dva drugara. Tek je brada počela da im raste, možda počele i dlačice oko kurca da im niču, a željeli bi sve da znaju, da probaju! Sjetite se kada ste vi tek počeli da drkate u društvu sa najboljim drugom pa vam bilo malo čudno što on to ipak radi malo drugačije od vas. Ja npr nisam znao da kažem da sam svršio, nego sam govorio: došlo mi nešto slatko!
I tako Niko i Dani zajedno drkaju i pokušavaju da se domognu djevojčica nebi li okusili čari prvog seksa. I to nebi bilo problem da Dani umjesto djevojčice nije zavolio svog najboljeg drugara Nika. I tudio se jadničak, davao sve od sebe, čak mu je prilikom drkanja pomagao da svrši i rukom i ustima, a kada je jedno veče Niko bio žalostan što nema djevojčica Deni mu je nesebično dao guzu.
Problem je u tome što Niko ipak više voli djevojčicu od Danija.
Eto toliko o najbljem drugaru, baš je nezahvalan, sve mu daš, a on opet ode kod one glupačice!
Ova komedija je zaista prelijepo napravljena, i dirljiva i komična. A svakoga će podsjetiti na one prve dječačke dane kada smo počeli da radimo “ONO”

I completely missed the boat on this one – KRAMPACK (a.k.a. NICO & DANI) is an excellent film. To temporarily ditch any pretense of objectivity, this was very nostalgic – my adolescence was a good bit more modest, but the experiences and conversations (even the summertime setting) at many points through this film hit close to home. I won’t rehash the plot, which is well-covered by previous reviewers here, but I will say that the film really gets the mix of unease and anticipation right in depicting the evolving relationship between Nico & Dani. On this front, it’s a five-star gay-themed drama.

The performances are quite expressive and naturalistic – no movie-of-the-week feelgood speeches appear here, and none are needed. The slightest changes in expression (contrast Nico’s responses to Dani through the first 2/3 of the film, to his responses during the last 20 minutes or so) convey great warmth and understanding, giving him the ability to reaffirm his friendship with Dani (in a ‘positive’ statement greater than any speech) even as they both understand by film’s end that the dynamic of their friendship won’t ever be quite the same.

On this note the film does have something to offer anyone – it’s universal without getting saccharine, and deeply committed to the humanity of its’ characters. There aren’t any complex philosophical or political undercurrents here, but none are needed – the respect and graceful treatment afforded to two ultimately different characters are more than adequate. A fine flick.

Coming of age, on a Barcelona beach, during an eventful week: Nico arrives at Dani’s for part of the summer. Dani’s parents are away, Nico is keen to lose his virginity, and Dani, who’s been Nico’s friend since grammar school, wants time only with Nico. Dani’s plans to hunt and fish are waylaid when Nico catches the eye of Elena and her cousin Berta. He wants to go to the beach with the girls, cook them dinner, and make love to at least one of them. Dani wants social and physical contact with Nico. Watching from a short distance are Sonia, Dani’s tutor, and Julian, a gay writer, who picks up Dani’s vibes. Can Nico and Dani sort out friendship as well as their mixed desires?

Ovaj film reditelja Barbet Schroedera je rađen po autobiografskoj noveli Kolumbijskog pisca Fernanda Valleja.
Fernando se vraća u Kolumbijijski grad Medellin u kojem je rođen i proveo djetinjstvo u vremenu kada trgovina drogom nije bio dominantan biznis u tom gradu. Namjera mi je da to provede svoje poslednje dane. Upoznaje 16-godišnjeg Aleksisa kojega dovodi u svoj stan i sa njim doživljava pravu romansu. Neću sada govoriti o moralnim i etičkim aspektima romanse između jednog 60-godišnjeg geja i tinejdžera od 16 godina jer se time ne bavi ni ova filmska priča.
Alexis je odrastao u siromašnoj četvrti u kojoj se razne bande svakodnevno međusobno ubijaju za šaku dolara i gdje dijete već u pubertetu uči kako se puca iz pištolja i ubija. Ove "vaspitne mjere" su uobičajene u Medellinu u kojem je ubiti čovjeka isto kao otići u prodavnicu i kupiti hljeb. Čak se i priroda štiti na način da se postavljaju table sa natpisom: "Zabranjeno bacanje leševa". Naravno i Aleksis sa sobom uvjek nosi pištolj i sa lakoćom ubije svakoga ko mu stane na putu. Kuriozitet je da kada god neka pošiljka droge uspješno bude isporučena u Ameriku u gradu se to označi vatrometom.
Fernando koji je u sve to upao iz nekog sasvim drugog svjeta to traumatično preživljava. Alesis koji ga voli i kao ljubavnika i kao saputnika, pomaže mu da shvati surovu stvarnost koja je zadesila taj grad. Zajedno obilaze brojne crkve koje nijemo posmatraju patnju posjetilaca moleći se da prežive još jedan dan ili umru brzo.
Nebih da vam završim priču do kraja pa ću samo primjetiti da se i u tom svjetu njihova romantična ljubav i odnos ne prihvata blagonaklono, ali koga je briga? Ne treba se previše buniti i uznemiravati nekoga ko pištolj sa lakoćom upotrebljava, zar ne?!

After an absence of thirty years, writer Fernando Vallejo returns to Medellín, the city where he was born and raised. Little remains of what he had left behind. His parents are dead and so are his siblings and most of his friends.Half the city has been destroyed to make room for an elevated subway. The cocaine Mafia - the Medellín Cartel - sows terror with gangs of assassins: boys from the city’s poor neighborhoods employed as hired killers who are often doomed to die at the hands of rival gangmembers.

Walking alone and losing himself in the noisy and violent streets that once witnessed his transient moments of happiness, Fernando bumps into someone he at first mistakes for Alexis, as if the boy were still alive. Or as if the horror of life had induced a grotesque hallucination. The boy in question isWílmar.He resembles Alexis on more than one count: he’s the same age, wears a similar jacket, is just as devoted to Our Lady Help of Christians, whose scapularies - tied around his neck, right wrist and left ankle - he never doffs. But the most poignant similarity of all is the gun he always carries with him. So the series of murders Alexis had started continues with Wílmar, while Fernando begins a new love affair. It seems that the world of Medellín has gone insane, going around in circles and creating live replicas of the dead.

Ovaj kratki film me je podsjetio na jednog momka kojeg sam vidio samo jednu noć. Bio sam nekako usamljen i trebalo mi je neko društvo. Odem na chat i počnem priču sa jednim momkom. Klasična priča , opis, sta volis itd. Vrlo brzuo mi je postalo dosadan taj razgovor i predjem na youtube.
Nakon nekog vremena vratim se na chat i vidim poruku: Izvini na onako glupom razgovoru, ako hoćeš da me upoznaš evo ti moj broj...
Dođe  momak kod mene ,kafa, sok... Upoznavanje i priča. Pitam ga oće li prespavati kod mene? Nakon tuširanja legnemo jedan pored drugoga i počnemo se ljubiti i maziti dok nismo zaspali, bez seksa!
Ujutro popili kafu i kaže: Ono sinoć možda nije to što si očekivao, ali trebao mi je samo neko ko će me razumjeti.
Drago mi je što sam ga upoznao, ali mi je krivo što se nikad više nije javio!

Ovo je jedna lijepa priča o ljubavnoj trojci. Bruno je u dugogodišnjoj vezi sa Carlom. Iskrena ljubav u kojoj niko ništa nikada ne laže i ne krije. ( postoji li nešto ljepše?)
Jednog dana Bruno upoznaje tajanstvenog i atraktivnog momka  Raia, koji živi život izvan svih društvenih pravila.  Naprosto postoje situacije kada odmah znate da vam se neko dopada i da sa njim želite biti prijatelj. Da li samo prijatelj i kako ostati vjeran, a ne odustati od želje i strasti?

Ono što mi se posebno dopalo u ovoj priči je iskrenost. Čak i u najtežim situacijama Bruno je iskren prema Carli, predstavljajući sebe onakvim kakav jeste. Uzmi ili ostavi, to sam ja!

Film me je podsjetio na jednog momka sa kojim sam nakon upoznavanja na jednoj plaži završio u krevet iz kojeg nismo izlazili cjeli vikend.  Pričao mi je da je u vezi sa sjajnom curom kojoj je rekao da je bisex. Rijetko je ko do te mjere iskren sa djevojkom. Sledećeg ljeta SMS: Ej prijatelju u Kotoru sam sa curom, oćeš li sa nama da popiješ piće?
Ne razmišljajući odem za Kotor i sretnem se sa njima. Prelijepa djevojka je bez pardona rekla:
-Željela sam da upoznam čovjeka o kojem mi je on toliko pričao. Rekao mi je da ste proveli nezaboravan vikend u krevetu!
Odgovorio sam joj: -Pola tog vremena je pričao o tebi! Napokon da te upoznam! -
Nije završilo kao u ovom filmu , ali drago mi je da postoje i takvi parovi!

Struggling martial artist and dancer Bruno loves his girlfriend Carla, but when he meets fellow dancer Rai, serious sparks begin to fly, opening the couple up to new possibilities. Mentiras y gordas je 2009 španjolski film u režiji Alfonsa Albacete i David Menkes, s mladim glumcima poput Mario Casas, Ana de Armas, Yon Gonzalez, Hugo Silva i još dosta drugih. To je film koji objedinjuje teme ljubavi, droge i seksa. Konzumaciju droge i seksa prikazuje u nekom haotičnom stanju sa potpunim nedostatkom zdravog razuma.
Film nam prikazuje dobar dio današnje omladine dezorjentisane u vremenu i prostoru u kojem žive. Konzumacija lakih i teških droga je skoro pa uobičajena stvar na festivalima poput egzita u Novom Sadu.
Film me je podsjetio na jednog momka koji me je kada se naduva neke trave ili naguta nekakvih pilula uvjek zvao na mob i govorio mi nebuloze da me voli, da ne može bez mene i slično. Jednom mi je pred zoru upao u kuću i nije mi dao mira dok nisam legao sa njim go u krevet i tako zaspao.
Naravno kada se ujutro probudio u nekom depresivnom stanju ničega se nije sjećao. Srećom u tragovima mu je ostajalo da me "VOLI".

  

SEX, PARTY & LIES (Spanish, with subtitles) is populated by a variety of characters in their 20s and 30s, linked by their excursions into the world of drugs and partying. These include Carlos, a musician/DJ who consumes vast quantities of drugs amid a parade of one-night-stands; Paz, who is fired from her bar-tending job and dumped by her boyfriend when she gains weight; Leo, a 29-year-old model and lesbian; 19-year-old Tony, who has an unrequited crush on his straight best friend Nico; and Sonia, a 30-something drug-dealer who keeps promising herself 'just one last time'.

The first half of the film could place it in the league of any of the (numerous) nihilistic-alienated-youth-on-drugs-films that have burgeoned since the 1990s - plenty of nudity, physical encounters, and disenfranchised angst. It is easy to imagine that some viewers will see only this superficial layer, and as such, may well be be disappointed. Writer/director Alfonso Albacete is both experienced and accomplished, however, and familiarity with his work facilitates an appreciation that there is actually a lot more going on in this film.

The crux revolves around the multitude of 'lies' that constitute our existence: the grand lie of capitalism, promises that will never be kept, concealed desires, self-deceptions, the belief that happiness is one pill - or one love - away. In this regard, the youth-on-drugs backdrop proves to be almost incidental. There is a challenge to the viewer, as she/he observes each of the characters living out these all-consuming lies, to locate an integrity to existence.

Ultimately, the overtly religious denouement at the final rave (a 'Last Supper' of sorts) - which is absolutely breathtaking in this respect - seems almost inevitable as a Christian crisis of salvation / redemption. (Lest this summation unfairly reduce the film to some sort of 'gritty drama' category, it should be noted that there are also occasions of cheeky and playful humour, such as a most awkward threesome scene involving Tony, Nico and a random girl they meet at a party.)

SEX, PARTY & LIES could easily be watched, and enjoyed, for its profusion of sultry, beautiful Spanish skin, entwined in various passionate physical encounters. It can also offer more, however; and perhaps to those who initially would be put off by its title. Complex characterization (aided by some strong performances from the diverse cast) and unexpectedly deep themes, bolstered by some stunning moments of quasi-religious visual imagery. *If* you're prepared to look beyond the façade, this film is highly recommended.

Marieta prostitutka koja sanja o tome kako da se oslobodi poprilično velikog problema koji je uvjek sa njom, a velik je 20 cm. Kao nesavršeni i nedovršeni transeksualac mašta o tome kako će jednog dana otići na operaciju poslije koje će imati najljepšu pičku na svjetu. Marieta živi sa cimerom, kepevom Tomasom koji se na sebi svojstven način trudi da njen tesko zarađeni novac olako potroši.
Jednog dana dok je kupovala neko povrće una pijace padne u nesvjest preko nekih gajba jagoda i u tom trenutku je ugleda zgodni i prezgodni Raul koji je nosio gajbe paprika iz Leskovca na prodaju. Kada je ugledao Marietu trenutno se zaljubio.
Marieta je oduševljena jer se u nju zaljubio savršeni muškarac koji ima veliki kurac i dupe kao breskva. Na žalost njena sreća je kratko trajala jer Raul je iznad svega volio njenih 20 cm u njegovu breskvastu guzu! Pički tu nije bilo mjesta!

U stilu Pedra Almadovara ova muzička komedija će Vas sigurno nasmijati do suza, a i za one koje vole 20 cm ili više neće biti mrskih scena.

Da li ste čuli za izraz "Size Queen"? Termin podrazumjeva one pedere koji su opsjednuti velikim kurcem. Manje je bitno ko ga nosi, da li glup ili pametan, bitna je veličina koja tako dobro boli dok vam raza bulju. :)

Film me je podsjetio na jednog prijatelja sa kojim se savršeno slažem. Po cjelu noć pričamo o raznim temama, o seksu, o muškarcima, o politici, o umjetnsti, o filmovima,o ljubavi, avanturama.... Zaista je sjajan momak i šteta što mi ne živi u mom gradu, treba mi neko kao on.
On je Aktivan, ja pasivan, on voli mlađe, ja  starije i to su jedine razlike između nas!
Sve ostalo volimo isto, a ponajviše muškarce sa velikom kitom!

He Wants to Be a Woman but Reality Gets in the Way

Size plays a major role in “20 Centimeters "a brash, vivacious concoction of dark comedy, light drama and musical performance written and directed by Ramón Salazar. For starters, the title refers to the length of its main character’s penis, nearly eight inches. Marieta, né Adolfo, a pre-op transsexual narcoleptic (convincingly played by Mónica Cervera), wants those inches to vanish, and nothing can come between her and the surgery that will make it happen, not even a hunky fruit-stocker who likes her as is.

During spells of sudden sleep, which seem to come at the most ill-timed moments, Marieta dreams that she is the star of huge, spicy (and frustratingly hit-or-miss) song-and-dance numbers in a wide variety of musical styles, most prominently Spanish and American pop songs. (The bit inspired by Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video is particularly amusing.)

But because so much screen time is spent in fantasyland, the film’s reality-based story lines, which focus on the sometimes bleak, even tragic, elements of Marieta’s everyday life — her conflicted sexuality, prostitution work and complex relationships with her roommate (a dwarf) and a neighbor’s young son — end up serving mainly as springboards for the high-energy set pieces.

Jeste li kada doživjeli da se neko toliko jako zaljubi u vas da to počne da vas guši. Opsjednut vama, lik kojeg volite počne da vam smeta i ne možete više da normalno funkcionišete.
Ja sam to doživio dva puta. U jednom slučaju nisam znao više na koju stranu da gledan. Idemo ulicom , a on mi prebacuje: “Vidio sam kako ga gledaš, ti bi da možeš sutra bio sa njim. ”
Jezivo, kada primjetite da se neko tako ludački ponaša, moja preporuka je da bježite glavom bez obzira inače će vam se život pretvoriti u pakao!

Pedro Almodóvar , jedan od najboljih Evropskih režisera i ovim filmom me je ostavio bez daha. Drama koji sam odgledao bez da palim cigaretu!

O samom filmu neći mnogo pisati, ko poznaje Almodovarove filmove zna koliko je doživljaj njegovih filmova intimna stvar. Sto ljudi će ih doživjeti na sto načina i svako će u nekom dijelu naći sebe!
Glavnu ulogu u ovom filmu igra fantastični Antonio Banderas, koji tako dobro glumi opsjednutog pedera da na trenutak pomislite kako je i u stvarnom životu ovejana pederčina.
Zanimljiva je scena gdje ga jedan lik jebe u krevetu, a najupečatljivija mi je poslednja scena ovog remek djela.

       

Almodóvar solidified his creative independence when he started the production company El Deseo, together with his brother Agustín, who has also had several cameo roles in his films. From 1986 on, Pedro Almodóvar has produced his own films.

The first movie that came out from El Deseo was the aptly named Law of Desire (La Ley del Deseo). The film has an operatically tragic plot line and is one of Almodóvar’s richest and most disturbing movies. The narrative follows three main characters: a gay film director who embarks on a new project; his sister, an actress who used to be his brother (played by Carmen Maura), and a repressed murderously obsessive stalker (played by Antonio Banderas).

The film presents a gay love triangle and drew away from most representations of homosexuals in films. These characters are neither coming out nor confront sexual guilt or homophobia; they are already liberated, like the homosexuals in Fassbinder’s films. Almodóvar said about Law of Desire : ” It’s the key film in my life and career. It deals with my vision of desire, something that’s both very hard and very human. By this I mean the absolute necessity of being desired and the fact that in the interplay of desires it’s rare that two desires meet and correspond”

Almodóvar’s films rely heavily on the capacity of his actors to pull through difficult roles into a complex narrative. In Law of Desire Carmen Maura plays the role of Tina, a woman who used to be a man. Almodóvar explains: “Carmen is required to imitate a woman, to savour the imitation, to be conscious of the kitsch part that there is in the imitation, completely renouncing parody, but not humour”.

Elements from Law of Desire grew into the basis for two later films: Carmen Maura appears in a stage production of Cocteau’s The Human Voice, which inspired Almodóvar’s next film, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown; and Tina’s confrontation scene with an abusive priest formed a partial genesis for Bad Education.
