The misadventures of two young gay men, trying to find a place to be alone, one night in Manhattan.
Gabriel, an office temp by day and aspiring Broadway composer by night, becomes smitten with Mark, a go-go dancer, in a gay bar with whom he makes eye contact. The two meet again in the subway that very night, and go back to Gabriel's place to have sex. They're thwarted in the attempt, however, first by Gabriel's aspiring actress friend Katherine, who is obsessed with her role in an adaptation of Salomé set in a women's prison, and then by Gabriel's roommate Rich, who returns home with his girlfriend Judy, with similar (and conflicting) plans for the apartment.
Gabriel and Rich argue over which of them should get to use the apartment that night, and decide to settle the matter with a coin toss. When Gabriel loses the coin toss and he and Mark have to leave, Gabriel seeks out his friend Perry to request the use of Perry's place. Unfortunately, as Perry escorts Gabriel and Mark there, they run into Perry's ex-boyfriend. Perry and his ex tearfully reconcile and they go back to Perry's, frustrating Gabriel and Mark yet again. The two then decide to hit a gay club for some dancing. There, a malicious drag queen, Miss Coco, corners Gabriel in the restroom. She badmouths Mark to Gabriel, telling him of the time they tricked – which sounds very much like how Gabriel and Mark met – and how Mark left abruptly after climaxing, leaving her with a fake phone number to boot. Crushed by this news, Gabriel decides to take off.
Mark follows Gabriel back to his and Rich's apartment to talk – and also because he's left his house keys there. They go in to look for the keys and try to talk things out while Judy mediates topless. Mark asserts that while he did indeed trick once with Miss Coco, it was actually the latter who tried to take advantage of him by secretly videotaping their encounter without Mark's consent. Gabriel accepts this story, but still doesn't trust Mark, so Mark angrily leaves. Judy then finds Mark's keys, and Gabriel chases after Mark with them down into the New York subway system. Just when it seems that Mark is gone forever, he reappears; he and Gabriel made a connection after all.
Having reconciled, they decide to get something to eat but – in yet another turn of events – run into Katherine and some of her theatre friends at a diner, where Katherine proceeds to monopolize the conversation. Gabriel finally blows up at her, and Katherine, humiliated, melts down and leaves in a huff. Gabriel chases after her and apologizes; they smooth things over and Katherine and her friends depart. As the new morning dawns, Mark gives Gabriel his phone number, they kiss, and Mark heads home. Gabriel calls the number on a nearby payphone, and is relieved to learn that it's Mark's actual number. While they never found a spot to trick, Mark and Gabriel instead formed a budding relationship beyond the simple one night stand they'd first been trying for.

A relationship between two teenagers bordering between love and friendship. It is also a movie touching the fear of growing up, becoming adult, becoming alien to each other. It is made following the rules of Dogme95, but actually it breaks a lot of them.

Description:
Naš momak: - Ja i on se volimo Ona: - I ja ga volim, a znam da on voli i mene i tebe! Naš momak: - Ali mi se volimo i onako... znaš Ona : Kako ... misliš ... onako Naš momak: - Da baš tako
Pauza 5 minuta pa onda:
ona: A ko koga ? Mislim znaš... Naš momak laže: Mi to ne radimo, samo pušenje , poljupci i to Ona: Moram ti priznati , on super radi i to drugo!
Left to Right: Jonathan Schaech, Kathleen Robertson, and Matt Keeslar in Gregg Araki's Splendor
23 year old aspiring actress who wears more lipstick than a circus clown goes to punk club and falls in love-at-first-sight with two guys. Soon they all move in together and have three-ways every night--it's a fornicator's dream come true!. . .but the dream turns into a nightmare when the chick gets pregnant (now that's a real surprise plot twist!) and realizes her two bed mates would make less-than-ideal co-fathers. Sure, they are fun to live and fornicate with, but these guys don't even have jobs! What kind of life will her baby have ? Then the chick meets this bland but responsible guy. She doesn't love him, but he's stable and would be a good provider. So she dumps her two lovers and agrees to marry Mr. Bland-But-Dependable (now that's a real surprise plot twist!). But, guess what? Right as the chick is about to say "I do," the two lover boys crash the wedding and rescue the chick from a loveless marriage (now that's a real surprise plot twist!). They all three go back to shacking up and raising the baby (which, in a real surprise plot twist, turns out to be two babies! Twins! Imagine that! How clever!). I guess this was supposed to be some sort of screwball comedy about how complicated young people's lives can become in this so-very-post-modern-world, but. . .it's not funny (though it is boring) and the script isn't fresh (though the acting is terrible). You wonder how the mediocrity who wrote and directed this *movie* ever fooled enough people to pony up the five million or so it took to make this frisbee. . .that con job must have used up all his creative energy. *

Unburdened by the heavy nihilism that dogged his so-called "Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy" (Totally F***ed Up, The Doom Generation, and Nowhere), Gregg Araki's Splendor is his brightest, most tolerable work to date, a day-glo romantic fantasy that sweetly considers the long-term possibilities of a drunken three-way. A camp reworking of Noel Coward's bohemian farce Design For Living, the film stars Beverly Hills 90210's Kathleen Robertson as an aspiring actress and self-described "good girl" drawn to two polar opposites at a Halloween rave: Johnathon Schaech, a bespectacled (and thus sensitive) freelance rock critic, and Matt Keeslar, a neanderthal drummer for a sub-par punk band. Robertson falls for her
competing lovers equally, but rather than choose between them, she allows both to move in and share her affections. This sort of premise would normally bring out Araki the obnoxious provocateur, but Splendor instead carries a bubbly, inconsequential tone that marks a surprising and welcome change of pace. While Araki's self-conscious dialogue still pounds with leaden irony, he continues to make great strides as an avant-garde stylist, painting the film's appealing surfaces with bold splashes of primary colors, eye-popping artificial sets, and a hypnotic art-pop sound design. Were he to invest the story with the same conviction, Splendor might have been the blissful, forward-thinking modern romance he intended. But for all his gifts, Araki is paralyzed by cool self-awareness, caught in the impossible position of trying to make this trio emotionally resonate while snickering at the Three's Company phoniness of it all. Love stories require some measure of earnestness and heart, but Araki seems to have deposited his on the beach in The Living End, and hasn't recovered it since.

Description: Ova sedmica po svemu sudeći će proteći u znaku kratkog gay filma. U ćoškovima sale i u zadnjim redovima formiraju se prave male orgije, drkanje, pušenje, a nerijetko naočigled svih padne i kompletno jebanje. Jednom sam otišao tamo i sjeo u sredini reda, a pored mene sjedne neki visoki lik. Odem u Knez Mihajlovu, operem ruke i naručim kafu. Finding love can be difficult, but surely a backroom on a Saturday night is the last place you should go looking for it. Certainly the men in this Spanish short seem to be searching for just one thing and it clearly isn't a boyfriend - or is it?
For in this realistic depiction of backroom life, we get to hear the inner thoughts of those whose need for sex see them seek out that area of a club or bar, that is but an indoor cruising ground. And yet and inspite of the subject under discussion, male nudity is seldom on view in a piece that is more akin to a cinematic representation of lust and if anything, loneliness. Yes it's all very seedy, but how could it be otherwise, as we view the scene through the eyes of Iván, a backroom virgin who "shouldn't have come," turns to go, but instead finds himself being serviced bottom end up as this short rapidly heads to its sexual climax. Thankfully along the way Morales sets the atmosphere rather nicely, mixing a throbbing club sound with images of men of all ages and types seen cruising a maze of dark corridors that whilst new to some, are more than familiar territory to those ever on the lookout for fresh meat. Only in between such carnal encounters, Morales injects a series of cutting comments, questioning if the mens' boyfriends or for that matter their girlfriends, know where they are? Yet the most poignant words come from an older man who looked upon in disgust by the local stud, offers the biting remark that "when you're my age and they look at you with the same eyes that you look at me - then you'll see." For the star of the show is the narrative itself, as voiceover after voiceover aptly conveys the reality of the situation and how for some men, kissing on the lips is a no-go area, after all "who does he think I am - his boyfriend?" Yet that is the bottom line here, given not everyone present is looking for sex. Only do those men have the courage to voice their need for love and affection in such a soulless environment? A telling work indeed.

English:
Lola Bilidikid (1999) Murat (Baki Davrak) is a seventeen year old gay Turkish immigrant, who lives with his mother and brother in Berlin. Murat lurks around public toilets and drag bars trying to find some entry point into his adulthood and eventually encounters Lola (Gandi Mukli), a drag performer who turns out to be Murat's estranged brother. Lola is stuck in a relationship with Bili (Erdal Yilidiz) who's so hung up on being macho that he insists Lola have a sex change so they can marry and be man and wife, rather than a gay couple, something which Bili despises. Elsewhere, aging HIV-positive architect Friedrich (Michael Gerber) falls in love with Turkish hustler Iskender (Murat Yilmaz) and battles his controlling mother Ute (Inge Keller).
Despite its soapy, busy plot, Lola + Bilidikid is a tranquilised, ellipitical film that makes for a detached and ultimately unimpressive viewing experience. The film's excess of characters and sickly float of ennui and displacement just doesn't gel into anything interesting. We know that immigrants face racism and taunting all over the world, and the stock-standard sensitive-boy-coming-out plot really should have been retired to stud many moons ago. Ancient Keller, who's acted in German films since the 1940s, is an imperious highlight but even she seems to be wondering what she's supposed to be doing half the time.
The film attempts a commentary on breaking free from restrictive family bonds with Murat and Friedrich like generational bookends to a postwar Europe that has drifted in many different directions. But this film is too scattershot and its script too malnourished to do this interesting idea any kind of justice. Lola and Murat seem to fight for supremacy as the film's main character, but they end up in a disjointed stalemate where only one can appear in any one scene. Behind them, Bili, Friedrich, Iskender et al mash together as an indistinct mopey ensemble. The film's climax is incongruous and excessively pessimisitc.
Another German film about an artificially red haired Lola in distress released the same year was Run, Lola Run, an innovative corker that mopped up awards and audience excitement around the world. Lola + Bilikid could have taken a few more risks and well, been an entirely different film, and it may have avoided ending up the plain, ugly twin sister. 17-year old Murat from Turkey, living in Berlin, Germany, slowly discovers his homosexuality. His older brother Osman, head of the family since the father's death, wants him to finally lose his virginity (in a heterosexual manner) and thus causes Murat to run away. In a bar, Murat meets Lola, who has some things to tell about him. He also meets Bilidikid, Lolas man, who thinks that Murat might have thrown an eye on Lola. But the truth about Lola, Murat and his family is far worse that anyone could have expected.
( crvenim) - Sve! -( čutim i propadam sa 4 sprata u podrum) - Znaš šta ja mislim? Mi smo predivna trojka, svi se volim, On voli i mene i tebe , ti voliš i mene i njega, a ja vas volim obadvojicu!
Pogledajte I love you baby!

Marga is a feisty young woman who has sought to slip out from under her parents' control her entire adult life. Slowly, and with significant help from her best friend Trini, she begins to come into her own. Just when it seems Marga has her life together, tragedy comes calling with a vengeance. First, she loses her job when Trini sells her out to the adulterous boss (whom the gal pal is sleeping with). The layoff causes financial problems, but at least Marga has her main man Roberto. Without warning, said boyfriend is killed in a car accident, leaving Marga alone and pregnant with his son. Hoping to make ends meet, she takes a job at a local video store. As time passes and her child grows, she ends up owning the establishment.
One day, Ińaqui walks into her store and the attraction is instantaneous. Marga falls head over heels for the dark and mysterious hunk. And he seems to really like her. But there is a problem. Ińaqui is gay. Or perhaps, it is better to say he is a very confused homosexual. Whatever the case may be, he adores Marga and they seem to make a perfect couple. But biology and psychology have a way of messing up even the most promising love affair, and as their level of commitment deepens, the potential pitfalls to Marga and Ińaqui's relationship grow wider. Can the lifestyle-crossed lovers find a way to make their devotion work? Or will they only find themselves alone again, filled with despair and thinking to themselves "I Will Survive" as their hearts slowly break? A little unfocused as it starts, and slow to unfold its eventual delights, I Will Survive (translated from the original Spanish title Sobreviviré) is kind of a motion picture irregularity. It wants to be a romantic comedy, but it keeps injecting tragedy and despair into the plot to provide obstacles to the "happily every after." This makes the movie a little disconcerting at times. It also wants to be a politically sensitive exploration of the differences and the possible interpersonal interactions between men—specifically gay men—and women. But it appears to be afraid to tackle such issues head-on, and instead hints and insinuates at the possible problems and considerations.
In essence, I Will Survive is an overly cautious cautionary tale, a tricky testament to the very fickle and fated nature of love and lifestyle choice. It uses the basics of quixotic pleasantry to say some serious things about sexual identity and societal roles (especially in the highly religious nation of Spain) while occasionally perverting those principles for its own interests (especially in the surprisingly frank ending). But the overall effect is less than enlightening. We never really get to understand our lovers and the reasons for their infatuation/frustration. Potentially provocative subplots (Trini's infidelity with the boss, Marga's son, Ińaqui's ex-boyfriend and the art community) are tossed by the wayside for meaningless montages to life and lust. We wonder how a practicing homosexual, obviously ensconced in the entire way of life, can suddenly stop with the sodomy and enjoy sex with a woman. And we conjecture on what it says about Marga's self-esteem that she sleeps with a gay man and assumes she has both "cured" him and deserves nothing better herself. I Will Survive cannot answer these questions and, frankly, it never really wanted to try. It is using hot-button issues to push along a passive narrative, and that is never a good cinematic idea. This simple movie—with intricate issues inside—is good, but not great. It fails to pull off the emotional hat trick of having us care for Marga, Ińaqui, and their relationship. We do tend to root for the miserable widow, especially as played by Emma Suarez with a wide face of fragile honesty. But Juan Diego Botto takes his role of the gay Romeo too seriously, balking with unavoidable angst every time situations get serious or sincere. As a couple, there is a nice chemistry between the two, and each can portray both strength and vulnerability in completely believable fashion. Indeed, the best part about I Will Survive is the performances. Even with characters that should resonate as clichés or archetypes, the actors manage to overcome the formulaic to create winning individuals. Never once is a stereotype stationed among the other homosexuals, and principles that should be annoying (like the Grand Dame of Cuban kookery Rosa, as played by Mirta Ibarra) find the decency behind the disheartening.
But good performances alone cannot save I Will Survive. The movie needs more of a heavy heart and the filmmakers cannot craft such somber sentiments. Co-directed with far too much self-awareness by the team of Alfonso Albacete and David Menkes, there are too many camera tricks and fancy fade-outs to keep the story from shifting. The duo keeps trying to impose dreamy and wistful elements onto their topical tale to keep it light and airy. Yet their use of the beautiful Henry Mancini standard Moon River seems cute and cloying, more of a fabrication than a relationship factor. I Will Survive is like a writer who keeps rethinking his story as he goes along. The lack of a clear atmosphere or tone turns what could have been passionate into just passable.

( L.A. Story of love and death, with some American thriller sparkles and the flavor of Ozon, "Amants criminels" is trip in a dark universe, with strange cages and shadows of fears.
In same aspects, it is a new adaptation of "Dangerous Liaisons". Also, it is a adaptations of brothers Grimm tales. But important are not the images, rabbits or forest man , the murder or the rats. It is only a room of Francois Ozon universe and relevant is the desire of director to discover the limits of a situation. Not the ways but the purpose.
The evil girl for the other is basic object, the homoerotic scenes, the strange land, the race different, the games and the end, the cries and forms of affection are pieces of an interesting puzzle in which the purpose may be the catharsis.
A cruel beautiful film. Cold, aggressive, nostalgic, sad and strange. A film about the ways of escape. And about their fragile substance.
This movie is not gay movie, but some homoerotic scene in François Ozon's way can be interesting!
Segunda piel (1999) aka Second SkinSinoć sam uživao gledajući ovaj film u kojem glavne uloge imaju Jordi Mollŕ, Ariadna Gili i prelijepi Javier Bardem.

Second Skin (Segunda Piel) is a 2000 gay film by Spanish director Gerardo Vera, starring Jordi Molla, Javier Bardem and Ariadna Gil. The film is available in DVD in Spain.
The film is about a couple from Madrid, Elena (Ariadna Gil) and Alberto (Jordi Molla). They have a happy marriage, professional success and a loving son. But later, Elena finds a hotel receipt in Alberto's pocket and discovers that he has been unfaithful to her. To her surprise, the one who has been involved is another man, Diego (Javier Bardem). Alberto is struggling to save both his marriage and forget his feelings for Diego, but fails. Finally, everything comes to an end when Elena confronts Diego, who didn't know Alberto was married, and kicks Alberto off the house. Leaving Diego's home grievedly after a fight, Alberto is killed in an accident.
The movie ends with Elena and Diego becoming sort-of friends.
This is a dramatic, very realistic story about the internal strife of a bisexual man, torn between his beautiful wife and child and his desire for romance with a Gay surgeon. Well photographed and directed with excellent music. Excellent beach scenery. Explicit sex scenes are well done. The emotional pain of the 'bisexual' man (more likely a Gay man who married to please his parents and conform to societal pressures) is very graphically and honestly portrayed. The damage that his refusal to deal with his identity crisis causes both his wife and his lover is also honestly shown. Javier Bardem is excellent as the surgeon and Adriana Gil as the wife is stunningly beautiful.

The running time on this is incorrect....it's only 100 minutes, not 110 as is listed here and on IMDB. Even the company which released this in the U.S. has the same running time (although another wrong one) listed for both their releases of the R-rated and the Unrated version. This is definitely the Unrated version, because I located a second set of download links elsewhere on a Spanish site from the Spanish DVD, and that running time is exactly the same as the time for the one I downloaded from here.
Next problem with the download from here: Although the entire movie was filmed in a 2.35:1 scope ratio, what's been posted here is apparently from the U.S. DVD release, which only has the opening credits in 2.35:1, while the rest of the movie has had the ends cropped off so the rest of the movie is only 1.85:1!! This is also how I knew which DVD release this was....I also checked everything on IMDB, and also submitted a corrected running time for the movie.
The video from the Spanish DVD is in MPG format, and although it's not anamorphic widescreen like the links you have here, the Spanish rip is ENTIRELY in the correct 2.35:1 scope ratio.
