Dugo sam odlagao gledanje ovog filma. Čitao sam o njemu ranije i nisam se htio opterećivati scenama nacističke torture. Dovoljno me terorišu na poslu!
Bent je priča o sudbini homoseksualaca u vrijeme holokausta nacističkih vremena. Jednako uništavani kao i jevreji bili su meta Hitlerovih slijedbenika.
Max je berlinski homoseksualac uhvaćen koji je do odvođenja u logor živio raskalašnim životom, predavajući se seksu , piću, drogi, obilazeći
svako poznato gay mjesto tog vremena.
Nakon što ga uhvate u šumi sa njegovim partnerom Rudyjem odvode ga u nacistički logor Dachau. Na putu do logora užasa strah od sigurne smrti ga prisiljava da negira svako poznanstvo sa Rudyjem kojeg ubijaju, kao i da izvrši seksualni odnos sa lešom mrtve djevočice. Sva sreća te tu scenu nisu prikazali u flmu inače bih momentalno prekinuo gledanje. Film je dovoljno jeziv i bez toga.
Max u logoru nosi židovsku zvjezdu misleći da če bolje proći nego ako nosi pederski crveni znak. Tu sa pederom Horstom provodi dane prenoseći kamenje sa jednog kraja na drugi pa nazad.
U tom tantalovom poslu na jedan specifičan način stvara odnos sa Horstom.
Ovaj film je dokument o tome kuda vodi generalizcija, mržnja, svirepost i diskriminacija. Na žalost ta vremena nisu za nama. Učimo se toleranciji, a Bent neka nas opominje kuda vodi sebičnost i samozadovoljnost!

"Bent" tells a heartrending love story, set against the backdrop of the Holocaust. I could describe the film in solemn pieties, but that would be too easy. The more deeply it descends into horror, the more alarming its agenda becomes, until finally I'd had enough: The material is not worthy of its setting.

The story involves a Berlin homosexual named Max (Clive Owen), who is swept up in the Nazi madness, forced to kill his lover, sent to a prison camp, and there finds true love with another man. Max has lied to qualify for a yellow star (signifying he is Jewish) instead of a pink one (homosexual). By the end he is proud to wear the pink star, but his decision is staged as a crowd-pleaser.

"Bent" is a movie very much about entertaining its audience (I have not seen the stage play by Martin Sherman, who wrote the screenplay). It opens with a gay orgy, hosted by the transvestite Greta (Mick Jagger), where bodies are strewn about in sexual congress. Some of the revelers are either Nazis, or wear Nazi uniforms as a form of erotic enhancement.

Max goes home with a handsome young Nazi, and has sex with him, to the dismay of Max's lover, Rudy (Brian Webber). It is the time of the purge of gay Nazis; storm troopers burst in to slit the Nazi's throat. Max and Rudy escape, hide in the woods, and are captured after a thrilling action scene. The scene exists for its own sake; the drama is suspended, so the audience can thrill to the formula of pursuit.

On a train to prison camp, Max is forced to commit unspeakable acts and betray his friend. The underlying message is, it's every man for himself; the film will refute that. In the camp, Max is assigned to shift rocks from one pile to another. He's joined by Horst (Lothaire Bluteau), who he met on the train. "Friendship lasts about 12 hours in this place," Horst tells him.

But soon, in the midst of dread and a bitter winter, they find erotic desire stirring, and there is a scene where they stand side by side, with no eye contact, and by describing their feelings verbally are able to arrive at simultaneous orgasm. This scene works like the chase scene: It drops out of the drama to stand alone as entertainment--as eroticism. A better film would have found a way to absorb the sexuality into the underlying theme; both scenes are crowd-pleasers, and so is a closing sequence which seems staged more as a noble tableaux than as drama at all.

Max's personal victory we of course applaud, but does the film, with its methods, deserve the sentiment it requests? Sherman's stage version of "Bent" is, I am told, a moving experience. During the film, there was scarcely a moment when I wasn't aware of its gears cleverly turning.

Dobro jutro! Dok skidam neke filmove za koje pojma nemam kakvi su pijem kafu i razmišljam o ovom blogu. Pisem ga već pola godine, odradio sajt, sredio kataloge....hehe još samo da otvorim videoteku.
Šalim se naravno, al ovaj hobi mi je uzeo baš dosta vremena.
Još koji dan i napuniće mi se kuća raznih rodjaka koji me se sjete uglavnom ljeti. Oće ljudi na more. I sada moram skloniti sve ove filmove iz sobe, promjeniti disk u kompjuteru, i zamesti sve tragove.

Što se bloga tiče ne vjerujem da ću imati prilike da ga često pišem. Imam Laptop, portabilne programe, pa ako nađem vremena ok , a ako ne opet dobro. Pa ljeto je, ajte ljudi na godišnje odmore. Filmovi se gledaju tokom zime, a ne u vrijeme kada se toliko zgodnih ljudi nalazi na plažama. Ove vrućine mi pojačavaju želju za seksom. Malo ćemo se baciti u te sportske aktivnosti, dobro isprazniti jaja, pocrniti na suncu i tako do septembra. Onda opet na internet, pa chatovi , blogovi. filmovi....

Evo jednog spota da vam proradi libido.

E da, ne prenemažite se, dosta priče kako ste vi pošteni ljudi pa se ne jebete unaokolo. Nećete valjda čekati penziju, ili dok se smrtno zaljubite. Niste od sapuna. Jebi te se i trošite tako će te biti i ljepši i vedriji. Seks je toliko prirodan i normalan da sve te morlističke priće ostavite za kasnije.
I naravno pazite se, bez kondoma nikuda ne idite!

Prije nekog vremena sam preko neta upoznao dva lika koja su bila u mom gradu. Potpuno su različiti jedan od drugog! Jedan onako ćutljiv, razbacan, potpuno muževan tip. a drugi brbljivac koji mi je išao na živce. Sjedali smo i pili neko vino, jedva uspostavljajući neku komunikaciju. Skoro pa mi je bilo nelagodno. Onaj brbljivac je pričao sam sa sobom nešto o tome kakvih ludaka ima na netu i slično. Ovaj drugi vidim nervira se, ali ćuti.
Taman sam pomislio da je bolje da se pokupim i odem kad ovaj što je jedva progovarao počne da se skida. Kada je ostao u bokserice brbljivac ga pita, jel to tebi vruće. Ovaj odgovori, nije vruće . al ajde skidaj se, pa da se jebemo. Ja se provalih od smjeha i pitah oću li se i ja skinuti.
Nakon seksa brbljivac više nije pričao , a ja i ovaj lik smo pričali i pili vino.
Poslije sam razmišljao o tome koliko se suprotnosti privlače. kako ona dva lika uopšte funkcionišu? Onog brbljivca ne bi trpio ni pet minuta da je nasamo samnom.
U ovom filmu možete pratiti odnos dva tinejdzera , koja žive potpuno različitim načinom života.
Brady, 18-togodišnji momak, živi sa svojom religioznom majkom na obali Californije u Rock Haven. Svakdnevne molitve narušava Clifford, poptuno suprotan Bradiju, zgodan, otvoren prema okolini….

The plot of "Rock Haven" (2007) is simple and realistic, though far from original: is being gay an impossibility if you consider yourself a Christian as well?

Brady is a shy, introspective 18 year old spending the summer before going away to college in a small coast town in Northern California. He is there with his widowed mother, who is a devout Christian in the process of establishing a religious school for the local pastor. Brady spends most of his time either reading the bible or staring off at the waves crashing on shore, until he meets a neighbor's free- spirited visiting son, 19 year old Clifford. While we later find out that Brady had some early inklings that he was somewhat attracted to other boys, he never before felt drawn to anyone as he feels to Clifford, and the other boy makes it clear that the feeling is mutual. Sensing his apprehensions and inexperience, Clifford lets their relationship develop slowly over the course of the summer, and, although he kids Brady about being a "nerd" in many of his interests, is careful not to express a conflict with his religious upbringing and convictions.

In the film “Rock Haven,” religion, sexuality and romance collide as a deeply spiritual young man experiences his first love.

A beautifully written story by director/writer David Lewis ("Under One Roof"), capably acted by a talented Bay Area cast. While the basic plot is not original, and the story development somewhat predictable, it is told in a well-paced, sweet and romantic manner that lets the viewer feel the emotions experienced by the characters. The one negative I must point out is Lewis' seeming obsession with numerous extended scenes of waves crashing on the beach (Waves wash out like past experiences, wash back to erase what was on the sand before, metaphor for life going on, new beginnings, yadda yadda yadda ... WE GET IT! The ocean should not have more screen time than the actors!) Other than that, I enjoyed the film and recommend it, especially for those who may be going through a similar dilemma.

DVD has deleted scenes, production stills and trailer. No director commentary, which would have been nice (I'd have loved to hear what he says about the ocean scenes.

Imamo li pravo osuditi nekoga samo zato jer je drugačiji od nas?
Teško bi bilo započeti ovu temu, a da se ne protegne na hiljade stranica interneta, knjiga, časopisa....

Među tim nikada dovršenim stranicama o različitosti, ljudskim pravima, i pravdi uopšte sigurno se može naći i mnogo napisanih riječi o ovom filmu.
Ovaj film nam govori o začetku borbe za prava homoseksualaca u New Yorku 1969 godine.

Matty Dean dolazi u New York iz udaljene američke provincije , tražeći svoje mjesto u kojem će ostvariti svoj snove, želje, nadanja.
Upadajući u podzemni gay bar "Stonewill Inn", prepunom queer dama, pedera, taranseksualaca i sličnih "otpadnika" društva doživljava brutalnost policije kakvu do tada nije vidio.

Nećete vjerovati ali u to doba je važilo pravilo da je maloljetnim licima i homoseksualcima zabranjivano da budu posluženi u vućini barova i restorana.
Matty sa transeksualcem LaMirandom zaglavi prvo u zatvoru, nakon čega postaje sa njim (njom) intimni prijatelj.
Nakon što LaMiranda dobija poziva za vojsku i na regrutaciji biva odbijena kao seksualno devijantna Matty shvaća koliki je veliki jaz između ljudskih prava za "normalne" i gay populacije.
Maaty se upoznaje sa mladim i zgodnim Ethanom, gay aktivistom koji se zalaže za prilagođavanje društvu na način da ne vrijeđaju nikoga čime nije u stanju ni da zagrli ni poljubi Mattyja ukoliko bi bili na javnom mjestu ili bi ih neko mogao vidjeti.
Matty se suočava sa različitim stavovima i potrebama društva kao što je LaMiranda i neupadljivih pedera kao što je Ethan.
Kada tokom jedne racije u "Stonewall In" dođe do strahovitog nasilja, LaMiranda u društvu Drag Queena započne bitku za pravo na svoj način života.
Ova priča nam predstavlja jedno vrijeme u Americi u kojem je započela borba za gay prava.
Međutim nama balkancima nije potrenbo mnogo objašnjavati kako je to nekada bilo , a kako je sada jer to nekada u Americi je sada kod nas!

Marking a turning point for gay politics in the US, the rush of events which swirled around the Stonewall Inn in 1969, in New York, is vividly recounted. Arriving in the Big Apple, from hick small-town America, Matty Dean (Frederick Weller) saunters around looking for action. The bright lights and bustling crowds are all a little overwhelming, until he notices a group of outrageous drag queens and tags along for the ride. After following the queens through a blank, nondescript door, Matty finds himself transported into the wonderous parallel universe of the Stonewall Inn. Run by Skinny Vinnie (Bruce MacVittie), a standard low-life, the bar caters for gays with a taste for the extreme. This takes a hefty level of bribes to the local police precinct though, since the law forbids serving drinks to self-confessed gay customers. Unfortunately on this night a raid occurs, forcing a number of quick changes by the clientele. The cops are typically brutal, roughing up a few patrons and dragging away a young drag queen, LaMiranda (Guillermo Díaz), when she stands up to them. Matty goes the same way when he attempts to help, in double trouble because he's under-age.

In jail Matty and LaMiranda get acquainted, later being bailed out by Bostonia (Duane Boutte), the commanding barmaid of the Stonewall and secret lover to Vinnie. Since Matty hasn't got anywhere to go, he moves in with LaMiranda and their relationship deepens. In some ways Matty is an image of how LaMiranda was when she first came to the city; youthful, impetuous, hopeful and burning to change things. Now though she's resigned to the restrictions of her chosen life, fun that it can be. Matty also finds himself attracted to the Mattachine Society, a group of earnest homosexuals who wish to become integrated by making themselves inoffensive. Their conservative, restrained meetings are in direct opposition to the unrestrained hedonism of the Stonewall Inn, two approaches to the same problem. Even though Matty finds himself annoyed by the society, where any sacrifice is worth making for acceptance, he finds himself drawn to a young activist, Ethan (Brendan Corbalis).

A collision between the disparate strands of Matty's life is inevitable, given the yawning gap in attitudes between each side. The set-up for this confrontation arises when the Mattachines decide to declare their sexual preference in a number of bars and see if they're refused service, which they should be by state law. Accompanied by a reporter, the group find that no bar has a problem with their homosexuality (several bars provide drinks on the house!). However, Matty has the bright idea to take everyone to the Stonewall Inn where they are sure to be refused service. The root of such strange behaviour is that the Stonewall is so afraid of being shut down that it's the single place where homosexuality is hidden. Interestingly this illustrates the Mattachines as being far more prepared to take risks than the Stonewall drag queens, despite outward appearances. Matty is forced into a difficult position when LaMiranda and Ethan meet, when he denies his love affair with LaMiranda and, distraught by this rejection, she storms out.

Inside Stonewall there's a great story, an epic tale of courage, strength and triumph when all seems lost. However, while this film seeks to attain these qualities it is powerless to resist its slide into stereotypicality. Initially the drag queens have all the bitchiness and rough-diamond qualities that might be expected, but soon they're revealed to uniformly contain soft hearts and an inability to do anything concrete. In some ways the portrayal of the Mattachines is even worse, a society whose members are happy to let America think that homosexuality is a disease as long as they can be accepted! With more convincing acting perhaps these stock characters could have been redeemed and imbued with more interesting qualities, but this doesn't really occur. The saving factor for Stonewall is its great spirit and some excellent scenes, particularly the time when LaMiranda visits the draft office and ends up with "Sexual Deviant" stamped on her call-up notice. Additionally, music has a special significance for the Inn; the mimed performances to pop classics are simply to die for.
