When I'm Sixty-Four is a British gay movie about two old men who fall in love with each other. Jim is a teacher at a school but has hit the age of 65 which means he has to retire. He has spent almost all his life in that school. He started there as a student at 8 years of age. A man around his age picks him up with a taxi. The man's name is Ray. Jim asks to be taken to a clinic instead of the earlier planned airport. Ray drops him off. Ray arrives home and realizes Jim left his jacket in the car. In it is a diary written things he must do before death. Number one is see the world and number two is fall in love. Ray lost his wife to cancer eight years back. His two children a son and daughter are married with children and come to visit him sometimes. He is however lonely.
Ray takes the jacket to the clinic. The receptionist shows him to Jim's room. He finds Jim was having a nose job done on him. They exchange numbers. Jim calls Ray to take him to his father's house. On arrival they find him collapsed on the lawn. They rush him to hospital. Jim's plans for a trip to Botswana are interrupted by his dad's health.
Ray and Jim continue to bond. Jim has a crisis over his looks and age. He wants to experience life before his death. He takes Ray along for shopping. Jim has saved almost 200,000 pounds because he almost had no expenses while in school. Ray is a football hooligan who is lonely and sad especially after his friend was diagnosed with cancer. Jim must be gay as he makes homosexual advances at Ray. Ray resists but later agrees. They begin an intimate relationship. Ray's son notices the two. He tells the sister and they confront Ray asking if he is gay. The son is especially upset that his dad might be queer. Ray denies it and lies. Ray and Jim however continue meeting. Jim decides to take the trip to Botswana and Ray joins him just before he leaves.

Two facts to ponder: Crutch is "based on a true story," and Rob Moretti is not only one of the lead actors but also the writer, director, editor, and producer. The result: Crutch comes across as an extremely personal exorcism of Moretti's suburban gothic adolescence, for better and for worse. Like the scribblings in a teenager's diary, the film vacillates between insight and exaggeration.

Moretti has quite a story to tell. Sixteen-year-old David (Eben Gordon), the surrogate for Moretti, lives in a broken home with his rapidly deteriorating alcoholic mother (Juanita Walsh) and two sullen siblings. Dad (James Earley) lives across town with another woman, and the family's method for coping with all this drama is to maintain a chilly silence. When not scribbling frantically in his well-worn diary, David finds distractions with his pretty girlfriend Julia (Jennifer Laine Williams). Together, they sign up for an acting class led by new-in-town thirtysomething Kenny (Moretti) and his sidekick Maryann (Jennifer J. Katz). Within minutes, Kenny starts a not-so-subtle dance of seduction with David, who is too distracted by his family problems to pick up on the signals... at first.

Once David's mom is tossed into rehab, David, feeling adrift, starts clinging to Kenny, and before long, the two are happily intertwined in a drug-fueled affair. "I was impressionable," David says in his retrospective narration. Meanwhile, Maryann tells Kenny, "All I'm saying is that you should be careful."

Indeed. Kenny, who we learn was a successful actor who lost it all in a shameful spiral of drugs and self-hatred, is an utterly unsympathetic (but good-looking) lout, a sexual predator who spends half the film committing various felonies and misdemeanors, albeit with the consent of young David. Looking for advice as the relationship sours, David turns to Zack (Tim Loftus), a local bookshop clerk whose over-the-top swishiness, the likes of which hasn't been seen on screen since The Boys in the Band, stops the film dead in its tracks not once but twice. It's an egregious directorial mistake in a film that otherwise does a great job of capturing the gritty textures of a typical middle-class New Jersey suburb.

How strange it must have been for Moretti to write and then play the role of the man who seduced him as a teenager. Unlike the other characters in the film, the Kenny he's created is one-dimensional, a troublemaker who keeps making trouble and who doesn't earn a bit of understanding or forgiveness from the audience. You have to wonder if the man who inspired the character of Kenny will see this film and what he'll think of it. Crutch does succeed in creating an intimacy with the audience. The story is so personal that you can't help but feel like a voyeur trapped in the small houses and apartments where most of the action takes place. When Mom splits open her chin in a drunken stupor and blood spreads everywhere as David helps her down the stairs, you almost want to wipe the blood off your own hands.

It's hard to believe that Moretti's real-life experience was quite as dramatic as the melodrama he's written, but Crutch has its moments, and at least you know that Moretti made it through his troubles and became a productive moviemaker. There could have been far unhappier endings.

All you romantics out there can take your own little comfort in this great short feature. It's one that can make us all feel young again (oh, gosh, do we really want that?).

Poor little Arnaud, he's a real sweetie. He pretty much knows, sexually, who he is and what he wants, but it's the desire for the who-he-wants that's giving him problems. And, unfortunately for his peace of mind, the "hotness" of that desire manifests itself.....even during sleep (though Mom is very sympathetic at a time like that, does she actually realize the problem's cause........hmm, perhaps more than we know).

Arnaud, of course, must make one of life's first common mistakes, one which so many of us make: choosing the wrong object of desire, the wrong person to fixate on. And, here, this reviewer's interpretation of Guillaume's role in Arnaud's life is at polar opposites from the opinion expressed by another viewer/writer on this site. In my eyes, G. is the epitome of the "mixed-up kid" (and, perhaps with good reason, considering his family/home situation). He's a tease, concerned primarily with his own gratification, and, in the end, is someone who can relate to our sweet little hero only if pretense is involved (the nature of that pretense you'll easily discover with your own eyes.....er.....uh.....I mean, ears).

In concluding this little reflection of mine on teen life (a life-period which often needs more than the title's little comfort), let me say we can only hope that the angel of a cyclist who appears at film's end is there to provide much more than just 'a little comfort' to our Arnaud. He deserves it.

PS--Pulling us right into the scenes with him, Arthur Moncla does a great job with his character of Arnaud.......especially considering he was only about 17 at the time (yeah, more like 17 going on 40).

Predpostavljam da o potrebi da se zaštitimo kada imamo seks sa nekim neznancem nema potrebe pričati. Pameten čovjek koji vodi računa o svom zdravlju neće rizikovati da dobije HIV ili neku drugu polnu bolest zbog seksa sa nekim zgodnim frajerom. Međutim putujući po evropskim metropolama primjetio sam trend da se sve više gejeva upušta u seks bez kondoma. Od kada su pronašli one koktele koji HIV virus drže pod kontrolom mnogi gejevi kao da su se umorili od stalne priče o prevenciji i kao da ih nije briga da li će pokupiti virus ili ne. Njihov izbor, ali mnogi ljudi, a posebno biseksualci mogu doći u opasnost ako se sretnu sa takvim neodgovornim gejevima. Naivni i neiskusni lako mogu upasti u zamku "dobrog sportskog izgleda". Mnogi od njih pomisle da je momak koji tako dobro izgleda i brine o tjelu sigurno zdrav. Velika zabluda!

The 24th Day is a 2004 film starring Scott Speedman and James Marsden. The film is based on a play of the same name, written by Tony Piccirillo, who also directed the film.
Tom (Scott Speedman) and Dan (James Marsden) meet in a bar and then proceed to Tom's apartment together. While there, Dan realizes that he had been in that same apartment before.

Five years earlier, Dan and Tom had a one night stand there. According to Tom, that encounter with Dan was his first and only homosexual experience. Some years later, Tom's wife is found to be HIV positive. Despondent after receiving this diagnosis from her doctor, Tom's wife drives through a red traffic light and is killed in an ensuing collision. Subsequent to these events, medical tests reveal that Tom is also HIV positive. Tom blames himself for passing HIV on to his wife and, in turn, he blames Dan for passing the virus on to him. Reasoning that Dan, ultimately, is to blame for his wife's death, Tom devises a plan to exact revenge. He holds Dan hostage, keeping him bound and gagged to a chair in his apartment. He draws blood from Dan in order to conduct a test to determine Dan's HIV status. If Dan's test results are positive for HIV, Tom vows to kill Dan. If the results are negative, Tom agrees to release Dan unharmed. In the end, Tom returns to the apartment and lets Dan go. As Dan is leaving, Tom asks him when he had last been tested. A few moments later, he reveals that Dan's test was, in fact, positive. He decided to let Dan go because he realized that his positive status was the result of his choices which he couldn't blame on anyone else. The screen fades with Dan standing in Tom's doorway, in shock, and Tom resigned to his fate.

U mom životu bilo je dosta momenata kada sam mislio da mi je život totalno promašen, beskoristan i da sve što radim nema nikakvog smisla. Danima bih listao profile po internetu ili tražio likove slične meni za međusobno pražnjenje nakon čega bih bio još beznadežniji, prazan i tup. Sat vremana samoprijekora i opet bih prešao na traženje novog noname mesa za seks.
Gadno je kada upadnete u tu fazu kada ispred vas promiču samo kite, a nigdje čovjeka ne vidite.

Film obiluje scenama nasilja, silovanja, muške erotike, a o psihi glavnih karaktera prosudite sami. Da li zaista ljubav može biti toliko jaka da poželite da se vratite u zatvor? Sve je moguće!

Film je napravljen u dvije verzije, x-rated version je porno verzija filma. Ne očekujte u toj verziji priču i emocije koju vam pruža regularna verzija. Ipak je to pornić sastavljen samo od scena sirovog seksa i ništa više! R rated verzija je sofisticiranija i sa prevodom! Šteta što to nisu montirali malo bolje i dobili "pornić sa dušom"

In Germany, twenty-something Dennis Tormann is serving a two-year prison sentence for credit card fraud. This term is his first ever behind bars. He is placed in one of the toughest cell blocks ruled by an inmate named Lutz, from who he tries to stay clear. Among other things, Lutz, supported by one of the guards named Muller, deals in drugs. Kevin Letarski, a young, slight inmate who is Lutz's whipping boy, befriends Dennis and tries to show him the ropes of prison life in their block. Although inexperienced with men, Dennis is attracted to Mike, a black American inmate in another cell block who is half way through his fifteen year sentence for murder. The attraction is mutual, and the two begin a relationship. "Walk on Water" is an Israeli film released in 2004. It stars Lior Ashkenazi, Knut Berger, and Caroline Peters. It was directed by New York-born Israeli director Eytan Fox. The screenplay was written by Gal Uchovsky. Most of the dialogue takes place in English, although there is much in Hebrew and German. Its name derives in part from Jesus' walking on water.

Eyal is an agent in Mossad, the Israeli security service. He is a hitman who targets enemies of Israel. His wife has recently committed suicide, and the agency decides that he needs to take on a less challenging assignment: to find an aging Nazi war criminal and get him "before God does".

In order to track down the old man, Eyal poses as a tour guide and befriends the Nazi's adult grandchildren, Axel and Pia. Pia lives on a kibbutz, an Israeli commune. Her brother Axel visits her in order to convince Pia to return to Germany for their father's seventieth birthday. It is later revealed that Pia's estrangement with her parents began when she discovered that they were hiding her grandfather. She shares this information with Axel.

Although he has a job to perform, Eyal truly befriends Axel and Pia. Axel and Pia are decent people who demonstrate that most Germans have gotten beyond the hatred that led to the Holocaust. They spend time together and Eyal enjoys himself, even if he would not openly admit so. His friendship with Axel allows him to display some humanity, letting down his tough-guy machismo. Eyal and Axel even take a mud bath by the Dead Sea, showering off together in the nude afterward.

When the three are at dinner one night in a Tel Aviv restaurant, Axel speaks privately to the Palestinian waiter, Rafik, and finds out where the best club in town is. Later that evening, Axel, Pia, and Eyal arrive at the club. Eyal is shocked to discover that it is a gay club. He sees Axel dancing with Rafik and is taken aback.

Eyal is initially disgusted and disappointed to discover that Axel is gay. He asks to be removed from the assignment, not attempting to hide his homophobia as the reason. His boss, Menachem, insists that Eyal finish the mission. Eyal visits Germany and comes to realize that Axel's orientation is unimportant. During the visit, Eyal defends a group of Axel's transsexual friends from attackers and, in doing so, reveals that he is fluent in German. He tells Axel that his parents were German, leaving out that most of the Jews in his mother's region of Germany had been killed by Axel's grandfather. Later during the visit, Eyal runs into Menachem, whose family was also killed by the grandfather's Nazi activities.

Axel invites Eyal to his father's birthday party. The guests are uncomfortable about Eyal's nationality and religion, but still polite. After the cake is brought out, Axel's parents surprise the guests by bringing out Axel's aged grandfather. Axel angrily confronts his mother and goes to Eyal's room, only to find a folder full of information on Axel's family. Meanwhile, Eyal meets with Menachem and tells him that they can easily take the grandfather and bring him to Israel to be tried for his war crimes. Menachem reveals that they are the only two on this mission, and the aim is to kill the grandfather. Eyal is clearly conflicted, but takes the case of poisons that Menachem gives him.

Eyal arrives at Axel's house and enters the grandfather's room, unbeknownst to all but Axel. Axel sneaks up behind Eyal and watches as he fills a syringe with poison, doing nothing to intervene. Ultimately, though, Eyal is unable to fulfill the task. He leaves, and Axel tenderly caresses his grandfather's face before turning off his oxygen tank, killing him. He goes to Eyal's room, where Eyal tells him that the suicide note his wife wrote told him that he kills everything that comes near him. Eyal says that he doesn't want to kill anymore and breaks down in Axel's arms.

The story jumps ahead 2 years. Eyal and Pia are married with a child named Tom and living on the Kibbutz. Eyal and Axel remain good friends.

At a Los Angeles high school, Sean, who's deaf, runs cross country. He's the victim of some locker-room teasing that a teammate, Derek, puts an end to. 17 November 2005 | by Chris Knipp (Berkeley, California) – IMDB Lionel Baier's "Garçon Stupide" is touching and sad -- and occasionally original -- without being wholly successful. It blends material from both Baier's and his non-actor star Pierre Chatigny's lives for the portrait of twenty-year-old Loic, a French-speaking Swiss gay guy who divides his time between an assembly-line job at a chocolate factory in the town of Bulle; graphically shown anonymous sex Loic finds via Internet; taking photos with his cellphone (which makes him dream of being a photographer); and chatting with his long-time pal Marie, a more mature woman at whose place he mostly sleeps. The split-screen sequences in which Loic's intense, bold sex scenes and the hammering factory machinery at his day job get paralleled are very obvious; but they do have the virtue of sharply veering away from the saccharine, super-sincere quality of so many gay coming-of-age films. This director doesn't look away from the mindless, self-destructive aspects of his main character. Unfortunately "Garçon Stupide" ultimately plays out too randomly to have an overriding viewpoint.

Loic becomes enraged at Marie one night. Her new relationship with a man has made him jealous. He calls her a slut, forgetting he's a super-slut himself. She kicks him out and says the relationship is over. This changes everything, since now he has no friend he can count on, or any friendly place to sleep.

The film, which is a rough but assured collage up to here held together by its vérité feel and the tall, striking (if blank-faced) Chatigny's strong physical presence, disintegrates into fantasy and sentimentality after the breakup with Marie. A narrative that had seemed real now begins to feel like thoughtless improvisation. Something happens to Marie. Loic wanders off and has a telegraphed car accident. He cashes in his savings to buy a professional quality video camera. In a pathetic, pointless digression, he pursues a minor football star from Portugal who plays on one of the local teams.

All this undercuts the simple specificity of the earlier sections and gives the film the appearance of having lost its way. Loic is naive, emotionally stunted, and ignorant: he tries to look things up in a dictionary but since the lacunae include such basics as Hitler and Impressionism, he has a long way to go to reach the middle-class/artistic life he dreams of. He is estranged from his family and without Marie has no one. The film, which avoids the conventional gay coming-of-age clichés, ends on a down note for two reasons -- because both Loic and his future are dim, and because director Baier lets his first film's promising opening crumble away into random pieces as it moves along. Loic ends with a long catalogue of things he is not going to become, but there's no sense of where he's going or what he will be.

Ne volim filmove sa tužnim krajem, al ovaj sam odgledao sa posebnom pažnjom. Snimljen na jedan polu dokumentarni način ima i priču i dušu. Cazuza je brazilski pjevač koji je u svoje vrijeme bio izuzetno popularan. Na žalost umro je od side 1990. god, a iza sebe je ostavio Brazil liberalniji nego što je bio. Kad je saznao da ima AIDS nije krio bolest što izazvalo zaprepašćenje širom Brazila i motivisalo mnoge ljude da se suprostave neznanju u borbi protiv te pošasti.
Nakon što sam odgledao ovaj film skinuo sam muziku iz filma i posebno mi se dopala pjesma O Tempo Nao Para. Slušajuci je nazvao sam jednog prijatelja, inače brazilca koji živi u Parizu i pitao ga da li zna ko ovo pjeva. Rekao mi je da obožava tu pjesmu i da je pjeva jedan brazilski pjevač koji je umro od side! Naravno dao sam mu link da pogleda ovaj film.

Posle mi je još i rekao da se Cazusove poeme uče u školama i da su obavezna literatura, da je cjeli Brazil počeo da razmišlja dugačije nakon njegove smrti. Nakon Cazuzove smrti pjevač Renato Russo je napravio koncert na kojemu je pjevao Cazuzove pjesme. Na koncertu je bilo suza i plača, al svi su pjevali! Dvije godine kasnije Renato Russo je takođe umro od side.

Brazil danas ima jednu od najjačih kampanja edukacije u prevenciji AIDS-a i zahvaljući tome ta država nema veći broj HIV pozitivnih. Sam Cazuza je prilično razuzdano živio, biseksualac, umjetnik , poeta, provokator… to su sve epiteti koje je dobio za života. Za sebe je jednom rekao : -Rodjen sam bez osjećaja srama!

Cazuzo i danas živi u sjećanjima mnogih brazilaca kao umjetnik koji je ostavio traga u mnogim životima običnih ranjivih ljudi! Inače malo se na ovim prostorima zna o mentalitetu brazilaca, uopšte o mentalitetu ljudi sa južnoameričkog kontinenta. Izuzetno temperamentni, strastveni u ljubavi i mržnji i beskompromisno tvrdoglavi podsjećaju na mediteran. Ovaj brazilac kojeg pominjem u tekstu živi u Parisu, oženjen je i ima dijete. Na jedan internetski način održavamo kontakte i zarekao se da će doći u Crnu Goru da me vidi. Tvrdi da me voli i često dok se gledamo preko kamera to i vidim u njegovim očima. Uplašim se toga. Šta da kažem ako dođe? “Ovo mi je rođak ” sigurno ne može da prođe jer je crnac!

Cazuza – O Tempo Nao Pára (Cazuza – Time Doesn’t Stop) is a 2004 Brazilian movie about the life of singer Cazuza. The film is directed by Walter Carvalho and Sandra Werneck. It stars Daniel de Oliveira as Cazuza. The film is based on the book by Cazuza’s mother, Lucia Araujo. Cazuza – O Tempo Nao Pára won a best actor award from the Sao Paulo Association of Art Critics Awards. Agenor Miranda Araújo Neto, better known as Cazuza (4 April 1958 – 7 July 1990) was a Brazilian composer, singer and poet, born in Rio de Janeiro.

Along with Raul Seixas, Renato Russo and Os Mutantes, Cazuza is considered one of the best exponents of Brazilian rock music. In 1989, he admitted publicly for the first time that he had AIDS and released his last album: Burguesia. Cazuza was openly bisexual but was not active in the gay movement. However his openness about being a person with AIDS helped to change public perceptions and attitudes about HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.

Cazuza died in Rio de Janeiro on July 7, 1990 at the age of 31 from an AIDS related illness. He was buried at the Cemitério Sao Joao Batista Botafogo, in Rio de Janeiro. Cazuza’s mother set up the Viva Cazuza Society (Sociedade Viva Cazuza), a charity which sponsors AIDS prevention and provides a home for HIV-positive children.
The movie was one of the most successful of the year in Brazil.

Focusing on Cazuza’s personal life, the film chronicles his early career, his subsequent success, his drug use and his promiscuous lifestyle. It starts out in the early 1980s in Rio de Janeiro, showing his usual day-to-day life until he joins the band which would become Barao Vermelho. It then shows the band’s rise to fame and its frequent “mutinies” which led him to pursue a solo career. Later, it depicts his struggle against the AIDS virus and his final days.
