Based on a 2005 Iranian photo that was taken of two men on the day they were executed for being gay, the award-winning 13-minute film ABAN + KHORSHID from writer/director Darwin Serink depicts the atrocious and inhumane executions still happening around the world today based purely on sexual orientation.

A young male prostitute (played by Luke Pasqualino) is hired by Jonathan, a lonely middle-aged man, to be his companion on a road trip from San Francisco to the Grand Canyon.

Jonathan creates a role for the escort to play for the duration of the trip: "Brandon." Eager to leave his own past behind, the escort accepts the role and they set off on their drive.  “Brandon” quickly comes to realize he’s playing a pivotal part of Jonathan’s desire to relive his past.

"Brandon" and Jonathan -- two damaged souls driving to the Grand Canyon, one trying to remember his past; the other trying to forget. RETAKE is an exploration of love, loss, identity, and the delicate balance of moving toward an uncertain future.

Onaj osjećaj da ste zaboravili nešto reći i da više nećete imati priliku da to kažete se teško zaboravlja, ali kod nekih ljudi se stalno ponavlja.
Juče sam bio da se upoznam sa jednim momkom tu iz mog grada. Iako izbjegavam upoznavanje sa lokalcima ovaj put sam pristao da se nađem sa njim, djelovao mi je dovoljno diskretno i pouzdano tokom naših chat razgovora.
Dogovorimo se da odemo dovoljno daleko od grada u kojem živimo i provedemo jedno poslijepodne. Našli se , odemo na piće i pričamo. Trudim se da budem otvoren i iskren, a on kao da je progutao cipelu. Priča o društvu sa kojim izlazi i kako voli da mjenja mjesta tokom izlazaka. Kako je grad u kojem živimo dosadan i kako su svi drugi gradovi zanimljiviji i naravno što su udaljeniji to su bolji.
Odemo u drugi restoran sa prelijepim pogledom na more. Zalazak sunca , slikavamo se i narućimo žestoko piće da se malo bolje opustimo.  Nastavljamo razgovor i opet priča iste stvari. U povratku doma tokom vožnje kolima pokušavam da promjenim temu. Želim da mi priča o sebi o tome šta želi i očekuje. Ništa od toga nisam čuo. Ostao je zatvoren tokom 4 sata druženja o sebi ništa nije rekao.

Pozdravljamo se i nastavljam vožnju kući. Razmišljam šta je u tom momku da tako žarko želi da je negdje daleko. Zašto ne želi da priča o onome što potajno želi kada je zatvoren u svojoj sigurnoj i zaštićenoj sobi.

Najvažnije od svega toga je da li je u stanju sam sebi da odgovori na ta vrlo jednostavna pitanja.
Naravno da znam šta želi, ali ipak neke stvari se naprosto moraju reći. Prelomiti kome povjerovati i podjeliti svoje misli. Ako to ne uradiš i prepustiš se pušenju prangije i trpanju u nekom nepoznatom krevetu sa potpunim strancem onda si samo još jedan peder sa chata i ništa drugo.

Čisto onako da nešto napišem, a zašto sam ovo napisao ne znam ni sam.

Patke su ptice selice. Dolaze nam svako proljeće i odlaze na jesen. Jednog proljeća je došao patak i ja sam ga zavolio. Otišao je na jesen i ostao sam sam. Čekao sam ga ali nikad se nije vratio.

Dva prijatelja, Jeremy i Alphonso provode nekoliko sedmica u Bruklinu. Jeremy opsjednut patkama i njihovim migracijama piše školski rad o tome, a Alphonse radije provodi vrijeme vozeći biciklo.
Alphonso se vratio u Paris, Jeremy ostaje u Brooklynu, ali obadvojica znaju da neke stvari više nikad neće biti iste.

“The Ducks’ Migration” is a fiction short film about the sexual discovery and growth of two teenage boys who coincide in contemporary New York City.

“Two boys and close family friends, Jeremy and Alphonse, American and French, spend a few weeks together in Jeremy’s house in Brooklyn. Jeremy is confused about his understanding of the friendship, while obsessed with the ducks in the Prospect Park’s lake and finishing a school paper about their migration. Alphonse likes to ride bicycles and doesn’t want to leave town. The ducks inevitably leave, Alphonse goes back to Paris, and Jeremy stays in his house, but all of them depart to something new.”

"The Ducks' Migration" is a short film about the sexual discovery and growth of two 15-year-old boys who coincide in contemporary New York City. The project will be shot in HD (High Definition) format in location, both in a brownstone house in the neighborhood of Park Slope and in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. It will also include archival footage shot in Paris, France.
