Ovo je pravi porodičan film. Mada bi ga najradije svrstao u naučnu fantastiku! Vjerovatnoća da se u bilo kojem gradu na ovoj našoj nesretnoj planeti prihvata gay orijentacija jednako kao i str8 je ravna vjerovatnoći da moj prezgodni komšija uskočii meni u krevet! Dakle naučna fantastika!
Big Eden je mali izmišljeni gradić tamo neđe u americi u kojem žive kauboji i rančeri. Imaju jednu malu prodavnicu u kojoj se odvijaju sva događanja ove male zajednice. Henry Hart, uspješan ali usamljen umjetnik iz New Yorka, nakon dvadeset godina se vraća u ovo malo idilično mjestašce da pomaže bolesnom đedu koji ga je othranio.Henry ponovno susreće Dean Stewarta, njegovog najboljeg prijatelja iz mladih dana, neostvarene ljubavi zbog koje je i napustio Big Eden.
Kako je ovaj i dalje privlačan Henry želi i očekuje da sa njim ostvari ljubavnu i emotivnu vezu, ali i pored najbolje Deanove volje to im ne polazi za rukom.
Pike Dexter je indijanac, vlasnik male prodavaonice u selu. Onako krupan i razbacan, ćutljiv, vrijedan svojom pojavom ne odava da je gay, ali svi u selu znaju to. Naravno svi mještani znaju i razlog zašto je Henry napustio njihov centar svijeta.
Počinju nagađanja hoće li se njih dvoje skontati ili ne. Kada shvate da se Pike zaljubio u Henry svi se trude i žele da spoje nesretnog Hnrija Pikeom.
Neću dalje o filmu, ali toliko energije i želje da mještana da usreće dva pedera nema niđe nego u ovom filmu.
No bez obzira ovaj film možete pogledati poslije ručka sa svojim partnerom i vašin usvojenim đetetom, bez straha od pornografskih scena.

Big Eden is a tiny town tucked away in the timberland of northwestern Montana, where cowboys lounge on the porch of the general store to pass the time away, and keep their eyes on things.

Although it's been years since he was back, Henry Hart, a successful but lonely New York artist, returns to Big Eden, the town of his childhood, to care for the ailing grandfather who raised him. Once home, Henry finds he must come to terms with his relationship to Dean Stewart, his best friend from high school, and the object of his unrequited love. Henry's feelings for Dean, which caused him to flee Big Eden nearly twenty years ago, seem to have only grown stronger over the intervening years.

At the same time, Henry's reappearance sparks a transformation in Pike Dexter, the shy, unassuming, Native American owner of the town's general store. Pike is as surprised as anyone, and completely unprepared, when he finds himself falling in love with Henry.

As this unspoken triangle unfolds under the scrutiny of Big Eden's community, nearly everyone in town develops a stake in its outcome.

When tragedy strikes and Henry chooses to leave once again, and Pike is unable to articulate feelings which might alter Henry's course, it is ultimately the people of Big Eden that must join together in an effort to help two of their own find true happiness.

BIG EDEN is a uniquely American fable about home and family. It hits upon the universal longing and hope we each have for finding a place where we are loved, and the unconditional desire to see those that we love find happiness.

Coming Out - nešto za šta nisam nikada imao potrebe ni želje. Lakše mi je tako, bezbjednije, ugodnije. Ne moram da trpim razna sranja, podsmjehe, ogovaranja, torturu koju društvo nameće takvim ljudima.
Cijena kkoju plaćam za skrivanje svoje seksualne orijentacije je visoka. Dvostruki život, dvostruki standardi, sve je nekako duplo.
A najgore od svega je što živim u laži. Lažem sebe, lažem druge, lažem one koje volim...
U suštini oni koji mi kažu da sam kukavica u pravu su. Strah od odbacivanja je ipak jači od svega. Vremenom se čovjek navikne da živi tako uklopljen u svjet koji je na neki način sam kreirao. Nekog potajno voliš svim srcem , a za sve ostale tu je žena kao ulaznica u društvo "normalnih " ljudi.
Tako je kod mene i ne žalim se, a kako je kod onih koji svima objave da su gay pogledajte u ovom filmu.
Mladi profesor u srednjoj istočnonjemačkoj školi Philipp živi onako kako svaka majka poželjeti može. Uspješan u svom poslu, oženjen lijepo ženom , poštovan u društvu.
I sve bi bilo da sticajem okolnosto philipp ne upozna Mathiasa, otvorenog gay lika sa kojim dijeli slična interesovanja. Njihovo druženje rezultira emotivnom i seksualnom vezom. Philipp koji je svo vrijeme krio da je oženjen teško podnosi sjedanje na dvije stolice i ostavlja ženu.
Da vam ne pričam priču do kraja pogledajte film.
Ono što je interesantno u filmu je prikaz gay populacije u istočnoj Njemačkoj. Dok trabanti preplavljuju ulice, ljudi čekaju u neviđene redove da bi kupili kartu za pozorište. U gay baru likovi maskirani kao u najvećim queer klubovima, travestiti, transeksualci , pederi....
Obzirom u kojem je vremenu sniman ovaj film pederi su u tadašnjem DDR, bili bolje organizovani nego u mnogim današnjim balkanskim zemljama.

The story revolves around a young high-school teacher, Philipp Klahrmann, who during his first day at work collides with a female teacher, Tanja in one of the school's corridors. As a result of the accident Tanja and Philipp get to know each other and quickly develop a romance. While going out with Tanja, Philipp gets dragged into a gay party and there he gets to know Matthias, a shy 19-year-old who quickly becomes interested in Philipp. After they meet again by chance, Matthias invites Philipp to his birthday party that evening. After some hesitation Philipp ends up going and that night the two of them go back to Philipp's apartment and sleep together.

The situation with Tanja deteriorates, as Philipp becomes more standoffish and worried, as he begins to come out to himself. He is forced to come out to Tanja, after he and Matthias embrace during the interval at the opera. The hug which they share is clearly more than that of two good friends. Matthias is distraught upon learning that Philipp is married and runs out of the opera house. Over the next few weeks Philipp searches for Matthias, until one night he finds him in a bar with another man - one of Philipp's students. Matthias, obviously still very hurt, pushes Philipp away.

Following this Philipp goes to the bar where he and Matthias first met and becomes aggressive towards an older gay man. He then calms down and a scene follows in which, through his tears, Philipp listens as this older gentleman explains calmly that he understands what Philipp is going through, as 50 years earlier, he and his then boyfriend were arrested by the Nazis. Following this they were imprisoned in a concentration camp. In a speech designed to please the SED and DEFA, the older gay man explains how the communists helped him through his struggle.

The film ends with a scene in the classroom, as the headteacher - who obviously has discovered Philipp's sexual orientation - says that she and a group of teachers need to observe his classes to see if he's still suitable to teach. Philipp is quiet for a long time and this prompts the headteacher to say 'Kollege Klahrmann!' to which Klahrmann simply replies 'Ja'. Freihof claims that this single utterance signifies the recognition, by Philipp, of his sexual orientation and everything attendant with it. The film closes with a shot of Philipp leaving his apartment block on his bicycle

Tačno znate da je čovijek koji sjedi naspram vas onaj koji vas maltretira, laže, vara... Pa što onda i dalje sjedite sa njim?
Zašto varate samog sebe? E pa u narodu se kaže: Lubav nije krtola ! Nije sve tako jednostavno kada su emocije u pitanju!

Radnja ovog filma je smještena pred kraj drugog svjetskog rata u jednom malom francukom selu.
Guy Rouveron je priprosti seljak koji živi u kolibi podalje od sela. Živi u svjetu koji je sam sebi izgradio, emocionalno nedozreo, pateći od iznenadnih halucinacija, koje ga otimaju iz surovog okruženja u kojem živi. Nalazi ranjenog njemačkog vojnika Rolfa, odnese ga u svoju kolibu i liječi ga, njeguje ga, nijemo posmatra.
Rolf kada ozdravi pokušava da se vrati u svoju jedinicu, a Guy, koji ga je zavolio na neki sebi poseban način pokušava da ga zadrži kod sebe.
Između njih se stvara posebna emotivna veza, uzajmna privlačnost i želja da budu jedan sa drugim. U početku ne u seksualnom smislu, al kasnije se to nekako prirodno nametne među njima.
Ljudi koji bi se trebali mrziti postaju emotivno ovisni jedan od drugom, djeleći želju da budu zajedno, otrgnuti od ostatka svjeta u kojem vlada pravilo da treba da se mrze i ubijaju.
U okruženju u kojem su se našli njihovo zajedništvo je osuđeno na najtežu moguću kaznu.
Film koji zaista vrijedi pogledati više puta!

We Were One Man had its U.S. premiere at the Chicago International Film Festival in 1980, where it was awarded the prestigious Silver Hugo. Vallois made a film which is not easy to watch and one never forgets it, since this film speaks out things normally silenced. Love between persons of different sex is theme in many war time movies where border line separates the lovers and the rest is sentimental crap. But here we have two men who should hate each other, as men should, even if they are not enemies. They are, however, in a secluded hut, mid-forest, also metaphorically: they don't know anything about each other than what they see. No common language. But in their flesh they begin to know each other, little by little: they are men, they have the same urges and because of the war times they don't have to play social plays. They don't need the illusion a civilized life requires; they joyfully agree in being straightforward in their physical needs. Communication is all but easy but they show us art and practice we don't know anymore, not in everyday life. They attack each other directly in flesh, both in sensitive way and aggressively, ending up making love or running away from each other. Vallois' film is like a well structured reality document where one looks the world that should be there somewhere but one knows that any peace and civilized state of mind make a life like that impossible. Men simply can't love each other without Mothers giving them rules for that.

otuda ovaj repost! Hvala mu na trudu koji je uložio i tako omogućio ljudima koji neznaju Italijanski ili engleski da ga pogledaju!
Koliko dobro poznajte svoju ženu, partnera , ljubavnika, druga...?
Činjenica je da svi imamo nekek male tajne koje ne želimo nikome reći. Dugo sam bio u vezi sa jednim čovijekom pred kojim samimao mnogo tajni. Naprosto ta je veza i započela u laži. Opterećivalo me je to dugo vremena iako sam malo po malo sve otkrivao. Kako sam koju tajnu otkrio tako mi je padao kamen sa srca. U svom tom haosu nisam ni slutio da i druga strana ima toliko tajni, laži i prećutkivanja. Kada sam sve otkrio doživio sam nervni slom i trenutno raskinuo svaki kontakt sa njim! I dan danas je u ignore na svim mojim messenger listama.
U ovom filmu je prikazano nešto slično.
Antonia teško preživljava smrt muža koji je poginuo u saobraćajnoj nesreći. Kopajući po njegovim stvarima malo po malo drugu stranu muževljeve ličnosti. Susreće se sa njegovim prijateljima koje ranije nije poznavala. Isprva ne može da prihvati gay okruženje, ali polako shvata da svi ljudi nisu isti i ne žive po nametnutim društvenim normativima..

Strangely, very few films with gay themes are made in Italy. Ignorant Fairies, set in Rome, breaks the mould with some sensitivity. It was not, however, made by an Italian-born director: although he lives in Rome, Ferzan Ozpetek is Turkish.

In Ignorant Fairies, a middle-class doctor, who works in an Aids clinic, loses her husband in a car crash and then discovers that he had been conducting a long affair with a working-class man, who loved him as much as she did. The title of the film is ironic, but not in the obvious way. It springs from the title of one of the dead man's paintings, which, the wife realises, has an intimate dedication to his male lover.
Although bitter at first, the woman tries to make friends with the lover. Her effort backfires as he brushes her away, resentful that he has had to live a secret life because of her. But gradually the two begin to make contact - half fascinated by the fact that the husband appeared to love them both, and half attracted to each other. There is a particularly good scene at a party where both are flirting with others but attract each other's attention, as if drawn together by loss and the need for comfort.

Ozpetek attempts, with some success, to paint both the male and female participants in the triangle with even-handed sympathy. Neither is a paragon, and the class difference is as vital as any sexual preferences. She lives in a smart suburb, in some luxury; he is a stallholder in a local market, and lives in a commune that may or may not be gay.

The director also avoids tacking on a tidy conclusion to the film, following the wife's discovery that she is pregnant with her husband's child. Hollywood would have matched up the two. Instead, Ozpetek ends his film with flashbacks to the 2000 Gay Pride celebrations in Rome, which both the Vatican and the Italian prime minister at the time tried first to ban and then to relocate. We do not know what will happen to these two people, but we guess that both have a better understanding of each other and of the man who divided himself between them for so long.

The acting is first-rate. Margherita Buy's wife and Stefano Accorsi's gay lover both make the film more about love, loss and deception than about sexuality. Ozpetek orchestrates their fraught relationship with maturity and skill; this, his first film made in Italy after Hamam and Harem Suare, is undoubtedly his best.
